Lol, I know what you're talking about. Merchants here are quite bothersome.

And yeah, the hybrid-language posts would make that hilarious.

@Zulfy: Maybe you already know this, but there's a strange rivalry between Brazil and Argentina that comes from looong ago. Since the 19th century independences there have been disputes for continental leadership between them. Until the 70s or 80s, Brazilian military considered Argentina its number 1 potential enemy. And even today most Brazilians will openly say they don't like Argentina, though most aren't very serious about it.

We also have a lot of Argentinian jokes, where the Argentines are stereotyped as insufferably smug people.
A boy from Argentina talks to his father:
- Dad, dad, when I grow up I wanna be just like you!
- Thanks, son. Smart choice! Why is that?
- Because then I can have a son just like me!

An Argentinian asks an Uruguayan

-Do you know which country is closest to heaven?
-Sigh, Let me guess...
-Brasil!
-What?
-Well, it's right next to Argentina

We are famously egotistical. But that's Buenos Aires' bad, they give a bad image to the whole of Argentina.

I'm from Buenos Aires, but I like to separate myself from the typical egocentric porteño.

For you too? Yeah, this summer's been awful. Around 30º every day, except when it rains.
I'd much prefer having 14º now. A bit cold, enough to put an extra blanket in bed, but no big deal.

Oh yes, Uruguayans don't like Argentinians either. I once had a Spanish professor from Uruguay who loved to say Argentinians had stolen a lot of "real Uruguayan things", like Carlos Gardel and I don't know what else.

W have Mate in Brazil 2 u know

But its more in the south I don't see it so much here in the north okay

In Rio its like a soft drink u know

In the South like curitiba, it is the Real Green Deal u know, the green Erva Mate w/ which they make Tea I have sum 2 which I brought from there

Its real good good good. But we dont have it indigenous here in the North. In the south they call it Chimarrão, not 'mate' so much as in Rio or in the Spanish speaking' countries u know its different

A Brazilian, an Uruguayan and an Argentinian find a magic lamp. The genie splits the wishes, giving one to each.
The Uruguayan: "Transform Uruguay into an island and send it anywhere, as long as it's far from Argentina". And the genie does so.
The Argentinian: "Make a high and unbreachable wall around all of Argentina so we don't have to mix with these inferior foreigners anymore". And the genie does so.
The Brazilian: "Hey, genie? Is that wall really high?" "Yes, it is." "Is it really unbreachable?" "Yes, it is."
"FLOOD THAT SHIT!"

(Sorry, couldn't resist. We also have dumb Portuguese jokes. Who do you tell jokes about in Argentina?)

Here, we call that drink "chimarrão" if it's only hot water and erva mate. If other things are added (usually other herbs to make it sweeter), it's "mate".

Bonjour,
Felissan
. Hélas, je ne parle pas français. Je lis, mais seulement un peu.

I see you have good taste in webcomics, btw. The page you took your sig from is one of my favorites. Tarquin = best villain.
