Here is a situation which is complicated okay and I need to know what 2 do right? And mb there are some Frequent Flyers out here who can help me?
I cnt say the cities involved here but I can say that I am flying with Brazilian national aerolinas

TAM

. But I think it doesn't mater so much okay.

This is m normal itinerary for my flight:
to:
City A - City B
City B - City C
City C - City D (so 2 transfers)
back:
City D - City C
City C - City

E

(yes I dunno but the return is via other city for some reason ?!)
City E - City A

Now I have some business or family to attend to in City

X

right before I go back okay. This hapens you know busy life this is the deal. So I want to change my itinerario as follows (only the back trip, the to trip is already made):

City D - City C TRIP CANCELED
City D - City X TRIP NEWLY BOUGHT
City X - City C TRIP NEWLY BOUGHT (we call this an Open Jaw flight okay if u dont know what that is u dont know the answer 2 my question but dont worry is okay)
City C - City E
City E - City A


Now my question, dun dun dun:

CAN I CHANGE MY FLIGHT SO THAT I CANCEL ONE OF THE SUB-FLIGHTS AND INSERT A NEW OPEN JAW FLIGH, AND STILL MAKE USE OF THE REST OF MY SUB FLIGHTS?

Internet says that the airline has right to CANCEL ALL TRIPS AFTER NOT FLYING ONE PORTION OF THE TRIP
But that someone u can call the airline and say heeeeey guyz I wanna not use 1 part of ur trip and Ill buy another trip with ur airline if u agree okay, just chill relax make a deal okay

So this is an option. But mb some frequent fliers here have beter experiences. I also smtimes see on Internet that people just didnt bother and didnt use 1 portion of flight and it was okay. So I rly dont know??! I cant call them right now

I know a fair bit about flying, but I'm not that familiar with TAM. But I suspect that you'll have to pay a change fee to accomplish what you want. Sometimes lengthy layovers are a problem.

Ok thats not gud u know, paying the fee, u know but if it has 2 be done we do it, no problem, we are like ke this you know it's different
I dun mind a lengthy transfer, you know it gives time 2 extra relax, mb grab a beer in the aeroporto, mb eat some things u know, browse on WiFi Is no problem

As an in training travel agent, the answer is that it is completely dependent on the policies of the airlines, tickets, timing, and other miscellaneous stuff like packages.

If you booked yourself you will need to go over your paperwork, otherwise your agent would be able to help.
