Trying to look for examples to improve my stage presence when I play shows. Post your favorite bands that put on a good live show and know how to get the crowd moving!! Here's some that come to mind to me:

Spoiler: Youtube videos
Iron Maiden

Believe it or not, Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach's lead singers put on amazing live shows.

By the way, did that tour of yours ever expand to the East Coast at all?

I haven't looked at Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach live, but I believe it. I'll check it out :)

And what tour are you talking about? O.o

Step 1: take drugs
Step 2: dance like an octopus in a washing machine
Step 3: jump into crowd
Step 4: get back on stage and have a weird standing seizure.
Step 5: climb big thing and sing
Step 6: jump off big thing or be dramatic then climb down when song ends.

Add "point mic at crowd" at any point you run out of ideas or forget the words to your mostly unintelligible song. They love that.

Tell weird jokes in between songs. They love that too.

Any band that has been performing for at least 10 years is guaranteed to put on an amazing show, good music or not.

*ESPECIALLY* if their music is bad. I'm looking at you, Kid Rock.

Could have sworn you mentioned a tour on the West Coast (mostly Arizona?). I think it was with someone like Coheed and Cambria

Dude I wish!

I'm still only hitting up local shows (I say that like it's a bad thing but I still absolutely love my local music scene)

But if there's someone that hit up a tour like that from MS I can't believe I missed the promo

The Who

Pretty much the best stage/live band ever during their heyday.

Ah. Went back and looked it up. It wasn't you. It was d3x and it was his friend's band. Tool was there too apparently.
