Man the fuck up and take responsibility Bernie. Tell your people to stop the violence. Trump has done his part and called for peace. At his rallies after getting destroyed by the media, and that dumb guy who sucker punched the protestor, now he's always saying "be careful, don't hurt them!" lol. When you have a gathering of 30,000 12 times a week, you will have bad actors.

Mainstream media trying to pit all the anti-establishment candidates against each other so Hillary can win.

I see what's happening and it disgusts me.

All this being said, I am actually seeing a pretty high-risk, high-reward strategy for Democrats here.

Which is to say, if Trump wins the nomination, I think he will have a much, much harder time winning the general election than pretty much any of the other candidates would.

In my dreams, Texas even goes blue. This is because his inflammatory remarks about Mexicans drive the growing Mexican-American population in that state to the polls in record numbers and because Republicans who campaigned for Cruz might have lingering hatred of Trump left over. Not sure whether this is a reality, but I think it's more likely to happen if Trump is the nominee than for anybody else.

Then you have the fact that Trump loses to both Hillary and Bernie in hypothetical match-up polls, the fact that Republican primary voters have said they might support a third-party candidate if Trump is the nominee, and the actual possibility that the Republican convention turns into a shitshow. Boil it all together and what do you get?

A fractured party that loses Congressional seats, a liberal SCOTUS justice to replace Scalia and four more years of a Democrat in the White House.

This is what Trump's platform is:
No more nation building in the Middle East. He was also calling the Iraq War a mistake way before it was cool to do so.
Lower and middle class tax cuts.
Focus on American jobs.
Doesn't want the government charging interest on student loans: "That’s probably one of the only things the government shouldn’t make money off. I think it’s terrible that one of the only profit centers we have is student loans". Open to student loan forgiveness programs.
Wants to audit the Federal Reserve.
He's genuinely against TPP.
Wants to allow states to legalize marijuana: "Marijuana is such a big thing. I think medical should happen - right? Don't we agree? I think so. And then I really believe we should leave it up to the states."
Doesn't have any special interests groups funding him unlike the other candidates. Has called for all candidates to return the money they're getting back to Super PACs and to remove special interest groups from our election process.
Likes universal healthcare, is open to replacing America's broken system with something similar to Canada.
Moderate on social issues (e.g. affirmative action, women's health, gay rights)
Focus on broad-based American nationalism instead of narrow and divisive race and gender identity politics.
Acknowledgement that political correctness is obnoxious.
Desire to put America first in trade deals instead of pure Wall Street globalism that exploits third world workers abroad and destroys domestic jobs.
Realist based foreign policy. (e.g. deal with Putin if it is in our national interest to do so, even if he isn't a nice guy).
National pride. The man loves his country and thinks it is the best. Every country should have a leader like that.
Diversity: he employed women in leadership roles before it was popular to do that. And he did it in the construction industry of all places.
He has absolutely nothing against legal immigration, he's encouraged it many times. His grandparents are immigrants, his wife is an immigrant, several of his closest business partners in New York are immigrants. He is against uncontrolled, illegal immigration.
Hugely successful businessman, knows how to manage money, how to invest for the future and a fantastic negotiator.
Unlike other candidates, his economic plan actually makes sense. It would result in "an 11 percent higher GDP, a 29 percent larger capital stock, 6.5 percent higher wages, and 5.3 million more full-time equivalent jobs".
Take a look at this video of him back in 1991 talking about how to utilize the upper class to re-invest in America or face higher taxes. Not only is he very knowledgable in economics and investment, but the tax structure he offers up back in 91' seems relevant even today to help alleviate some of the complaints we have about 1%'ers and wall street.
Acknowledges the danger of allowing mass refugees from places governed by fundamentalist terrorist groups, even if such acknowledgment is not politically correct.
He is a HIGH ENERGY individual who has literally created tens of thousands of jobs just with his own personal business, imagine what he could do by being a leader of America. Trump is a man deeply interested in the economic welfare of America, and he can't be bought.
If you're still sceptical and think he's a nazi sexist racist Hitler, ask yourself: How can he possibly be worse than what politician after politician after politician does in office? What's he going to do?
piss off an ally by spying on them?
Inflame other countries by bombing their hospitals and schools and then calling it acceptable collateral damage?
Spend more money than we don't have?
Pass laws for things with good intentions, like healthcare for people who don't have it, without considering some of the gigantic gaping holes in getting it out there...like a working website to sign up for it in the first place?
Sit on his ass and do nothing while OPM has the biggest leak of clandestine and TS information in the history of mankind?
Bail out gigantic banks instead of busting them up after they fucked around and lost billions of dollars and screwed over half of the globe?
Have the most non-secretive affair ever? Then lie about it and spend a million man hours talking about who he did or did not fuck instead of governing?
Cause gas lines and shortages, fail to rescue hostages from a shithole by piss poor planning?
Invade a country and blow it to shit without figuring out how to get back out of said country, after we just did the same thing 40 years prior?

Trump is pulling a large amount of the libertarian and independent vote, as well as a fair amount of democrats that don't want a socialist nor do they trust Hillary the witch Clinton.

quoting pie cuz im lazy to type it all out myself:

InflatablePie wrote:"If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of 'em, wouldja, seriously... Kay, just knock the hell - I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees, I promise." - Cedar Rapids IA 2/1/16

"I love the old days, y'know what they used to do to guys like that when they were at a place like this? They'd be carried out on a stretcher, folks. Ah, it's true." "[I'd?] like to punch 'im in the face, I tell ya..." - Las Vegas NV 2/22

"In the good ol' days... they'd rip him outta that seat so fast... but today everybody's politically correct, our country's going to hell with being 'politically correct'." - Oklahoma City OK 2/26

"Alright yeah, get 'im out, try not to hurt 'im... ... If you do, I'll defend you in court, don't worry about it."
"We had four guys that jumped on him, we were swingin' and swingin'... the next day we got killed in the press! That we were 'too rough'. Give me a break. Y'know, we don't wanna be too politically correct anymore, right folks?" - Warren MI (not dated)

"We had some people, some rough guys like we have right in here, and they started punching back, it was a beautiful thing, I mean, they started punching back..."
"In the good old days, this doesn't happen, because they used to treat them very, very rough. And when they protested once, y'know, they would not do it again so easily. But today they walk in and they put their hand up and they put the wrong finger in the air at everybody, and they get away with murder, because we've become weak. We've become weak." - 3/9 Fayetteville NC

"Y'know, part of the problem and part of the reason it takes so long is nobody wants to hurt each other any more, right? And they're being politically correct the way they take them out, so it takes a little bit longer. And honestly, protesters, they realize this, they realize that there are no consequences to protesting any more. There used to be consequences, there are none any more."
"They can get up, and when they're being whisked out, they can raise their 'bad finger' up in the air, and drive people - which is very unfair - and some people get very angry at that because y'know what that represents, and then when they get a little bit overly angry, they're in trouble - the guy that raise his finger? 'No, that's no problem, that's no problem'." - 3/11 St Louis MO

and the above quote from St Louis is after a protester was assaulted at the rally in Fayetteville.

"part of the problem [...] is nobody wants to hurt each other anymore"

and yes, Trump condones physically assaulting a protester, calling that 'get[ting] a little bit overly angry', and it's fine because the protester flipped someone off. eye for an eye, right?

That's not what I said. I said the media is inciting his supporters and Bernie is riding that wave.

There's nothing wrong with his healthcare plan, it will be better than Obamacare, no question. I just gave you a bunch of reasons why people are voting for Trump. Unless you are going to argue that you don't like his health plan, then you should say why.

I was never going to start a thread like this, but fck it, tired of hearing about Trump supporters in college being bullied, women supporters harrassed, signs thrashed, people getting their property vandalized. I'll speak up, sure. To hell with people trying to shut down free speech.
