Just remember that Canada's a commonwealth country, so they drive on the other side of the road.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

also if peopel need transit to/from airports/bus stations/etc I would be happy to assist dram in offering said transportation. my car is small, but it drives from point a to b so you'll learn to live with it :P
There is definitely a place to crash til noon, which I'll give you directions to in due time :p
As for "assisting me" in offering transportation... I don't drive, so I can give maps and shit and pick up people from the airport by bus, but I ain't driving anyone anywhere. :p
There anything you suggest I bring

this is my first time... well I mean I've gone out of state for hotel meetups and stuff so I guess it's the same what am I thinking

You need a passport to get into Canada now. Didn't used to; back in the day I think you could cross both ways with just a driver's license.

It's possible to expedite the process, but it costs some big fee to do so.

Agreed. Especially since if my last international flight is any indication, I'm going to have to fill out paperwork about where I'm staying and who my contact is. Though why the gov wants that information is a blank to me. Maybe they're afraid I'll cause an international incident.

Alright going to try to get an appointment today to expedite this and if not then I'll just give gas $ to Maru and the $75 to Dram since this is so close. (My fault)

Also it seems processing takes 8 days if I give proof so maybe I have a higher chance of making it. Is there any way for me to *give up* proof when I'm travelling by car and crossing the border?

Oh never mind awesome I can do it still
