Hey Reality fans! I figured I should make a separate discussion for Big Brother now that it is survivor off-season. Will anyone be watching/have you seen the cast yet?

also cast 0/10 no me in it.
the British cast is 0/10 for me.
Yeah probably coaches, cast seems meh. But usually when I like a Big Brother case I hate the season (the exception being bb17, which was great other than the whole Steve winning thing)

Cast looks bad. Coaches will probably end up playing again, long boring plod of a season, whichever cast members I like will all be out by week 3, Derrick wins by a landslide.
I'm going to be watching but I haven't really looked at the cast yet. Feed stuff should definitely be spoiler tagged, but I don't know if episode stuff should be? It should be easy to distinguish a "This is a feeds spoiler" from "This episode just aired and I am commenting about it" spoiler.
RHAP has convinced me to at least give BB a try this time around, listened to the cast preview. Don't really understand the game or strategy much yet but hopefully I will!
so instead of playing for immunity, people play to be HOH. If you're HOH, you choose the two people to be voted between? Can't be HOH twice in a row? is that the gist of it?
Also there is a VETO comp where the person who wins that competition can take off one of the people on the "block", and the HOH has to put up a replacement
And the person who wins the veto can not be put up as the replacement
Cool, thanks! One more big one in my mind already: If in the majority alliance, do people usually want to put two enemies up for voting or do they want to put up one ally and one enemy to have more control over which enemy goes home?
Depends on how the numbers work out. A big thing is that the people on the block + the HOH DO NOT VOTE for who goes home. This means that the HOH has to have majority + 2 in order for putting an ally up to be safe.
Often in big brother there are two "sides" and a "middle", and the middle frequently desides who goes home. So basically, depends on how many people are where + who is good at comps etc
don't know what the fuck u smokin, British version is far superior than the American one. Most of the American stuff is just dumbed down obstacle courses and stupid games best suited for a rich kids birthday party. The british version has equally stupid shit go down, but the main focus is on the in-fighting in house, which I find to be better brain cell killing entertainment. Also, the fact they have wonderful British accents helps me feel slightly more cultured.
Also, the last season of the American version had stupid gamey "alliances" form early on for no reason other than to make them happen. It just felt less organic to me...
