so I didn't know which thread to post this in and was told to just make my own
context I am a cashier at a chinese restaurant
we have two cashiers at a time and the other cashier was Desi like me
this dude walks in (he's white fwiw) and sees us and goes "new ownership?" because apparently a chinese guy can't have two brownies up front
so we say no and he's like "oh I thought maybe [owner] sold the restaurant and went back" the implication being went back to china despite owning this restaurant for TWENTY YEARS and being in the US for at least that long, possibly longer
so yeah he racismed at the owner too but the owner wasn't there and this is my story not his
as he's leaving he asks if we're brothers
even though we look NOTHING ALIKE
him racisming at us felt bad and made me feel bad
