Pit has had good RBs and Receivers in the past. Ward, Homes, Bettis, Parker. While this is one of few times Brady has been without Gronk or Branch or Moss or Welker. I guess Bennett is Brady's current #1. And Patriots have a good running game for once. It feels like this is a different patriots to what has won before and that maybe what Pit needs to play against. Defenses of both teams were better in the past imo.

Have they ever had arguably the best in the league at both positions at the same time?

It's gonna be a good game regardless. But I don't think they've ever really had quite what they have now on offense, or at least not recently. Ward and Bettis were obviously great players. Holmes and Parker, meh. But Bell is a unique player who does it all and Brown is damn near unstoppable. If they don't fall apart in the red zone, this offense is very hard to slow down.

Yes, that's why the Steelers scored all those TDs last week against KC...

See the bolded. They moved the ball great. They had 7 opportunities to score a TD and failed every single time.

Yeah neither of these games should have been this ugly. It's been a disappointing postseason so far.

Blown out by the Pats in the postseason. As is tradition.

I mean, the Steelers were about as good as I expected (though marginally better, the O-Line performed better than expected), the fact that I didn't expect them to make the play-offs had more to do with Baltimore and Cincinnati being better teams on paper and having their own issues (Baltimore's end of season collapse and Cincy's failure to show up), thus giving the Steelers one of the weaker divisions in football. In the play-offs they beat Miami minus their starting QB, who blew you out in the regular season meeting (albeit early on, but with all three Bs available) and is a close game with a healthy Tannehill (thought Steelers are marginally favored given that it's at Heinz Field) then were a holding call away from overtime against the Chiefs, whose offence failed to show up. Then you faced a good team, who actually showed up and predictably got the same treatment you usually get during the Tomlin era.

Also, you know settling for 6 field goals last week should probably have tipped you off that the offense disappears in the redzone.

Go Falcons
PIT and GB choked a few times during the season to bad teams. This time they choked against good teams which resulted in blowouts instead of just losses

ATL choked against SD while SD choked against CLE during regular season. I want ATL to win, but I can't say it will happen

New England like to shut down the star player (Julio).

Matt Ryan spreads the ball around.

Should be fine

pats will win.
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

When the Falcons decided to throw it on 2nd & 10 on the Pats 25 with 4 minutes remaining and then got sacked, I knew it was over.

I was in denial about it for the rest of the game, but subconsciously, I knew that was it. I sat down and stopped being enthusiastic over any big play.

I was cynical about things to my huge Pats fan roommate but I was so skeptical about Brady being unable to pull off a comeback I didn't even react to the big TD, tying 2-pointer, and winning drive. I even called that it would be over for whichever team won the OT toss. And I wasn't even mad that the NFL's bullshit overtime rules robbed yet another great team of a chance to win it all.

Why? Because the Falcons literally had it all in hand and threw it away. They were in chip-shot field goal range and instead of running it for almost no risk they decided to throw it. And Ryan got sacked. And then a penalty threw them to a 3rd & 33 attempt. And at that point subconsciously I knew it was over. They had given it all away.

So I'm not even sympathetic. It's not even on the level of the Cards getting robbed by a miracle drive + catch. It's not even the Seahawks only having a chance because of a 1 in a million catch. It's not a halftime ambush onside kick shifting the momentum. The Falcons had the chance to seal it and decided to be cute. No sympathy for that.
