This is a cosmic sign to make the next NorCal game night this coming weekend. As long as you aren't allergic to cats I have a free couch. I have done trips to Portland and Phoenix area and the groups is at about the 10-12 hour depending on variables distance from both cities.

Sac has places to be jealous of when you live near the college... this is about $60 a half mile from my place (but iirc sushi isn't popular in the group)
I see there are threads about certain major meetups but i cant really find a thread pertaining to general meetups or a thread to post your general state/area and high five because people live near you. Does anyone know if there is ever a meet up at like SXSW or near Austin, TX in general?

It depends on whether or not someone starts a thread for their area, and it usually happens when someone is visiting an area rather than a local looking for other locals.

I think it only opened right about the time of last meet, and I wasn't fast to try the sushi place in what used to be a Carls Jr because that sounds sketch. Even now I still think there is a 50-50 place it is a front for something given price point, usual lack of customers and a large back room no one enters.
