Maki Itoh vs. Toru Yano
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

I'd say Tomohiro Ishii vs. Meiko Satomura would be a good match, but she's technically Sendai Girls, and only Stardom as a special attraction. Plus, I'm not convinced anybody would survive the shockwaves.

I'm finally getting around to watching AEW Double or Nothing.

I really don't like the Young Bucks. I mean, I get that wrestling has evolved to every big match needing 3-4 major finishers to win. But every Young Bucks match I see tends to have them pulling out 8-10 finisher level moves during the course of the match. Things that legitimately look like they should finish off a wrestler are just transitional moves that don't even get a pinfall attempt.

Like, Matt Jackson hits Pentagon Jr. with El Generico (Sami Zayn)'s old finisher "the Brainbustaahh!", which is a brainbuster delivered onto the top turnbuckle. An insane move that should be the end to any match. Hell, you could believably stretcher out the victim and kayfabe a whole injury. Crowd jumps to it's feet and chants "Holy shit". Most probably have never seen it anything like it before. But it's barely sold as Matt moves onto the next move.

I'd say 80% of their offense is other wrestler's finishing moves that they don't win the match with. It's dumb.

Young Bucks are really good, and they're very good at working different styles- they've worked strong style and lucha style very well, and they even did sports entertainment well. The problem is that, when given the freedom to do whatever they want, they choose to do spotfests. And now they get to do whatever they want, all the time.

My two favorite tag matches last year was young bucks matches. I think it all depends on the framework

This is a good assessment. They are super entertaining, but if you want things treated seriously, they are not for you.

Ospreay is awesome. He's miles better than the spot monkey he was two years ago. I don't know how you can watch the BotSJ finals against Shingo and not love that match.

It was ok. Shingo is really good. It was better than the dragon Lee match but I think it was probably the 5th beat match i've watched in the past 7 days. (I've watched like..43 wrestling matches starting with takeover last Sunday morning)

I really like Excalibur when he's telling the story. Sometimes he gets into these jags where he tries to just name moves, and it gets a little meh.

Jim Ross was still pretty good, when he was given a match he cared about- I thought he was fantastic during the Dustin/Cody match, but that may be because it was an 80s NWA style brawl featuring two people whose names he knew. The third man in the booth was a second-string football announcer, though, and I have no idea why he was there at all.
