kizer is massive ass.

im interested in your justification on rating him so highly.

but yeah the qb class in general this year was filled with a bunch of "maybes" at best.

Well, I think the problems he has as a QB are fixable compared to Mahomes or Watson.

Mahomes is afraid of clean pockets, and that's instinctual at this point. It can't be fixed long term, because in order for him to fight the urge he'll have to be actively thinking about it. I think people fell in love with Mahomes because he could throw the ball really, really far. So what?

Watson has similar problems fearing clean pockets, but unlike Mahomes is able to set his feet some of the time when he throws. He sometimes throws better balls.

Kizer has pro footwork. He just doesn't have much else going for him (noodle arm, no ability to read defenses, no ability to progress through his receivers). But reading defenses and decision-making can be taught, which is why I rank him #2 in this class. He'll still need good players around him to make up for his shortcomings as a thrower, but he isn't going to make bad decisions because he can't plant his feet on the ground.

This isn't a very good draft class, it's Gabbert, Locker, Weeden all over again. So being #2 isn't all that special.

Basically, I think the problems Kizer has are fixable, and the problems Mahomes and Watson have aren't.

Love that pick. Very happy with our QBs so there is no risk and a ton of reward. Great early test for him too, with the week of activities and the spotlight on him.

Overall solid draft, addressed the needs we had coming off FA, and with some players returning from injury I'm hopeful of a very productive season.

If Jamaal Charles is healthy enough to recover his previous form, he's instantly the best back in the Broncos backfield. Good pick up.

I think Chad Kelly can actually be an NFL Quarterback. That's more than I'll say about some of the guys selected before him.

I read some stuff about Charles being a change of pace back for Anderson

Kelly has the ability (and a cannon-arm), so it depends how mature he is. It makes things interesting now as I think Siemian should be the starter this year, but Lynch is probably the guy long term. Kelly has a shot at being backup, or maybe surprising me and in a year or two becoming the starting QB. I love having 3 talented young QBs fighting it out, especially when two of them were 7th round picks. :D

Charles offers a lot of experience at worst, but at his best he is our top RB. We have CJ to share the reps, and Booker for another option. Janovich excites me from Fullback, plus we have some developmental backs. Overall it's a real nice addition that we needed.

I don't think Lynch is good. And Siemian I think has a low ceiling.

I don't really keep you with college but supposedly next years draft is loaded at QB so not sure why anyone took a QB early this year.

I don't know if loaded is the word I'd use. PEG definitely could fill you in better than I can, but I don't buy into USC QBs as a guy who lives in southern california and is forced to watch Trojan football. Rosen is the real deal tho imo. I don't know enough about the wyoming guy, but wyoming and he feels very Blake Bortles to me at this point(big arm, big guy, has "bad decision making", no one commenting on his footwork or release, small school). I'm pretty sure Rudolph and Falk are both Air Raid/no huddle spread guys. Lamar Jackson is being compared to Vick and Cunningham on NFL.com, but there are also a lot of comparisons to Dennis Dixon. Also, guys with his build and skill set have not fared well recently(Teddy B, RG3).

I keep hearing about the Auburn kid, but I don't know enough about him and a really can't find anything beside a highlight reel.

Hence the "healthy" qualifier.

Welp looks like the Raiders aren't going to last very long
Brady's (and others') hometown discount is the major crux of the Pats dynasty

Well it
HAD
been going up in July in previous years. I had send a pm to Mith last summer to remind him in June and then I guess he just decided to start signups this June too. Not sure why Panzer even cares.

It was about american football.

They mention the 1967 nfc championship game, I think.

It was loosely about football.
