As d3f3nd3r says, you just need to strategize differently for the availability of players. Everyone on the roster does not need to be a superstar.

Yeah, 10-14 is the sweet spot though that's largely because it makes scheduling even:

With 10, two divisions of five, you play your division twice each and the other once each
With 12, three divisions of four, you play your division twice each and the others once each
With 14, either two divisions of seven or no divisions, you play everybody once

I'd never play with 14. Too time consuming and you're going to be starting backups

And if you're playing g at 12, half your roster aren't even starters.

14 is too many, 10 teams are stacked. 12 is that beautiful sweet spot.

waivers are important, draft strats are nice and varied.

14 does have the benefit of everybody play everybody once though.

Jordan Matthews isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but yeah I don't like this at all for them.

Popular opinion seems to be only pats can win the sb, but Aaron Rodgers is like Omar from the wire. No one wants to see him coming.

I think they're certainly good enough to get there, but beating the Pats isn't going to be easy.

Looking at sportsbook odds they're something like 65% likely to win their division and 25% to win the NFC Championship (best in the NFC, but the Cowboys and Seahawks are close behind).

Which is a fucking dumb way of thinking. The Pats are undoubtedly the favorites at this point, but they don't even have a 50% chances of winning the Super Bowl at this point.

Also, the Bills easily won that trade. Watkins may be better than Matthews, but only for the like 4 games he plays healthy, and Matthews is pretty reliable. Gaines for Darby is pretty much a wash. Plus they gain a second and third in exchange for a 6th. The Eagles got what they needed out of the deal, they have receiver depth and their secondary sucks, so Darby will help them more than the loss of Matthews. Not sure about the 3rd rounder, though, but the deal they made makes sense. The Rams are the losers - sure they get a sixth round pick, but they gave up a pretty decent cornerback and a 2nd round pick for the rights to put Sammy Watkins on injured reserve this season.

I have my doubts Zeke misses any time this season. When he loses (and he appears to have a substantially weaker case than Brady did) or gives up the court case, it's likely to be at least next season.

We do officially have a suspension though, so I don't think they would delay it?

He's been a standout since he was draft IIRC. This makes the Eagles defense somehow
even more scary
but it's also like "who the fuck is Wentz going to throw to?"

I'm not high on Alshon, he's too injury-prone. Everyone else has no hands or are rookies.

Also this suspension on Zeke is fucking ridiculous. NFL players seriously need to consider a lockout as soon as possible. IIRC the NFLPA has in fact advised them to save for one.

I mean unless you think the NFL intentionally misconstrued the evidence just so they can find 'Zeke guilty then I think they got this 100% right.
