Hm I actually really liked Foucault's analysis of power (or what I understand of it).

I actually have finals to study for so should probably cut off this discussion but I'll look for that thread when I have more free time. Last question: do you know any good introductions to the "neo-marxist/critical theory" school of thought for someone primarily interested in analytic and ancient philosophy?

Yeah it's always interesting to see the educated, religious people who simultaneously spout philosophy yet deny scientific facts.
philosophy and science do not go hand in hand
how do you think science was invented

Science must rest on a philosophical foundation, or it has no foundation.

I never said they were separate; I pointed out the irony of (often religious) people speaking incorrectly about natural law but denying evidence that must be accepted based on said natural law.
Part of the problem.

I don't consider myself a philosophy person yet since I'm uneducated but I liked Sophie's World as a primer to stuff

Quoting your own post is a good way to draw attention to your request but you have to quote the full thing

Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?

In post 52, Accountant wrote:james3, I think that your ideology is very bad. I think that there should be laws enacted so the police can come and arrest you for having these kinds of views. I also think that you should not be allowed to continue to spread this ideology and that support for your ideology should be banned.

That is because your ideology advocates a very dangerous view of things. You are saying that anything unnatural is morally wrong. Many good things are natural, and to condemn them as morally wrong is bad. You will hurt good people and good things by calling them morally wrong. Also, you feel it is morally right to attack and destroy these good things. That is bad. For the good of the world, I feel that you should be no longer allowed to have these thoughts.
I'm not into this whole Thought Police™ / Jail the Dissenters narrative.

Isn't all morality relative? If so, how can you even assert this? If not, how can you even assert that he is wrong?

What gives *you* the right to say that *his* views shouldn't be heard, weighed, and either discarded or not, vice the vice versa?

This is one of the more ignorant posts you've ever made.

1) Morality is not relative. It is determined by the correct path. He does not adhere to it. Thus he is wrong.

2) I have the right because I am correct, and therefore have the moral high ground.

Yeah just about 18 hours until he gets back. Until then y'all should look at his postgame comments in this game to get a sense of who we're all trying to comprehend.
