Almost missed deadline. But I managed to listen to almost everything all the way through (may have turned one or two off halfway). Rough notes:

Albania - Maki Asakawa - Love it! - I think you're my musical soulmate. I've liked or loved most everything you've entered so far, and if I'm not mistaken, same goes for you too. :)

Bhutan - Thundercat - I like this. It's making me happy.

Burkina Faso - Mermaidens - Promising beginning. Kind of reminds me of Garbage, esp around the changeover point.

Spain - BADBADNOTGOOD - pleasanter than Sri Lanka, but less interesting hmm, still I enjoy it more so

Finland - Galicia Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Christian Vásquez) - a 12 min classical piece :o I'm sorry but no. Argh just when I decide to turn it off it gets good. Ok take mid points.

Central African Republic - The Move - everything but the vocals works for me

Republic of Kugelmugel - Gorillaz - Intro is ridiculously long. I love Gorillaz, but this is a bit underwhelming.

Sri Lanka - Public Imagine, Ltd. - a little samey after a point (not in the good halleluwah way), but interesting for sure.

Hungary - Grynpyret - I wouldn't mind this as video game soundtrack. Actually this isn't so bad. mid to low points.

Macao - Ace Tee ft. Kwam.e -It's alright

Iceland - The Antlers - eh, what was all the fuss about? - not sure if this is better than Italy

Italy - 10 Years - not bad, not special, but I don't mind it so low points

Latvia - Gackt - It's ok

Iran - The Receiving End of Sirens - not working for me. parts are ok, but overall no. just low points if at all

Cote d'Ivoire - ONE III NOTES -catchy

Bosnia and Herzegovina - Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip - the sounds by themselves would've worked so much better than the on the nose (need stronger phrase than that) vocals

USA - We Butter The Bread With Butter - mildly amusing in a ridiculous sort of way - low points maybe

Democratic Republic of the Congo - Boy Hits Car - people still listen to numetal? =/

Chad - Parkway Drive - meh ok. Not really in the mood for growly vocals. low points maybe.

Canada - ACJW Ensmble - if I knew the songs in this nostalgia could sway me in its favour I guess. Oh there's pink panther. wow that ended before I could even type that out - blah

Cyprus - DMA'S - This is classic song contest entry. So glad this now the exception rather than the rule.

Uruguay - Buika - Not what I was expecting at all going by the hawt cover. This is exactly the sort of music that appeals to me the least. =/

Fiji - Galneryus - Aside from the fact that this is not in English, nothing else about it excites me. Meh

Ecuador - Blue October - Made zero impression on me - no

Hong Kong - Takeo Ischi - no just no

Here we go again. This time I listened to the songs

Sri Lanka - Is that snoring? There's some weirdness to it that I like, but this is tiresome.
Spain - Very pleasant sounding so far. The chorus sounds so familiar., I think I've heard this before, maybe in a movie or a commercial.
Iran - I don't entirely dislike this, it sounds better than most songs I've heard here from this genre, still it doesn't stand out enough from it.
Albania - hm, retro.
Central African Republic - Interesting.
Ecuador - Ok.
Italy - Meh.
Iceland - Nice so far, he better not start screaming. Good.
Democratic Republic of the Congo - I swear I'd give you my 12 if this was Lovefurypassionenergy. I never listened to anything else from them but I was addicted to that song. Liking this one too.
Bosnia and Herzegovina - This some weird rapping.
Hong Kong - Still better than Romania 2017.
Canada - funny, but this is not a song.
Hungary - Nope.
India - It was going well until the rapping started. Ehh.
Fiji - This is too intense for me.
Bhutan - It's fine.
Republic of Kugelmugel - Ehhh, no.
USA - Shit what's this?? And why am I still listening to it??
Chad - USA part 2.
Uruguay - Nice enough.
Macao - The beat is giving me a headache. Really, I don't dislike it but there's something wrong with it.
Cote d'Ivoire - hm, animu. I'll pass.
Cyprus - It's nice.
Finland - It's nice and I don't have a top 10 yet so this will likely get points.
Latvia - What's this alt-k-pop? Well, I don't dislike it...

I couldn't stop listening to Hong Kong. I tried to get away...but I can't close it...there was no escape...save yourselves...

It probably helps that I'm listening with someone and am enjoying torturing them

Italy – I like that one part a lot, that righteous part the rest is good too
Congo – I like parts of this a lot, then it gets slightly less likeable but still quite good, and back again
Chad – I liked this more on first listen than the second. Must have been in a strange mood.
Fiji – I like!
Hong Kong – I might have to give this a 12 for reasons.
Cote D’Ivoire – That was blah but got quite awesome with the female vocal
Iran – Sounded ok, then sounded cool, then went back to ok, then cool again
USA – Bonus points for the T-Rex, kinda cool
Canada- Well that was unique!
CAR – Neutrally good!
Finland – No description really. It just happened.
Cyprus- A little too mellow. Dunno why that word came to mind.
Kugelmugel – Not a fan, but the video was cool.
Burkina Faso - meh
Bosnia – His beard scares me. That sums it up.
Ecuador – Eh, meh, it got ok-ish
Macao - ehhhh
Uruguay – Neutral mode activated!
Spain – Slightly yawn-ish
Hungary- Why is mustache. Why is popping sounds.
Iceland – Why is it still sounding like this, I want it to be loud! Ok it got loud, but not good loud.
Bhutan - Nah
India – Not too appealing for my ears.
Albania – I don’t really like it.
Sri Lanka – Kinda repetitive, then it got weird

YES! I had submitted it b/c its a good song AND doesn't have alot of views so I figured not everyone knew them/that song and isn't that the point of this? Though pop fans won't like it so meh...

I've grown to like the Gorillaz song

Still don't like the other tracks yet but the one submitted has really grown on me, even if I still don't really like the song until 2D comes in

Huh. I didn't consider it to be numetal really, but I guess that is what it is. I guess I don't hate numetal as much as I thought.

Bhutan - (Thundercat - Them Changes): sry hungary
Hungary - (Grynpyret - Boba Beach): i felt pretty quickly that this was getting my 12. will see if i'm right.
CAR - (The Move - It Wasn't My Idea to Dance): I don't like his voice, but then again, I sort of do in a way. Nice song.
India - (Dälek - Masked Laughter (Nothing's Left)): It warmed up to me
Italy - (10 Years - Paralyzing Kings): It's pretty good but also pretty generic I guess
Burkina Faso - (Mermaidens - Undergrowth): great, but also a little tiresome
Albania - (Maki Asakawa - Chicchana Toki Kara): It's good, but doesn't change.
Finland - (Galicia Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Christian Vásquez) - Danzon No. 2 by Arturo Márquez): I liked this but struggled to really get there
Macao - (Ace Tee ft. Kwam.e - Bist du down): mhm mhm (as you can see i lost energy to give real feedback to my top 10)
HK - (Takeo Ischi - New Bibi Hendl): Debated for a while whether or not to give this points. Decided that it deserved it. Nice.

Burkina Faso - oh shit. OH shit. this is good. great. i dont know how to properly describe it but great.
Bhutan - just like the chords and general feel of this one
India - what is this, blinggaze? chaingaze? weedgaze? actually its high quality music.
Latvia - i liked this a LOT more than i expected to.
CAR - ooh nice guitars. i find davstos subs to be a nice consistent break from the cesspits that sometimes are the other submissions
Iceland - oh come on i wanted to hear this album in full. oh well
Hong Kong - this may be pure memes and bullshit but its better than most this boring shit so thats good
Spain - nice and jazzy. ive listened to iii before and its kinda ok and middling but i still like it
Finland - wait is that chris ray gun in the orchestra? o.O anyway its ok
Fiji - i literally do not remember a thing.
Canada - this shit is just trying to choke you with nostalgia. playing itself is pretty good so it gets that merit
Albania - i dont remember a thing from it
Hungary - millenial nostalgia core. its very ok, as in extremely middling and ohhh fuck it just got worse. well, it has variety i guess. credit for that.
Italy - same kinda thing as iran but less
Cote d'Ivorie - まあ、それはたくさんありますので、私はコメントするのが難しいと思っています。この解説で私はここに入力しています。これはおそらく言語的に正確ではないでしょう。私はちょうど悪名高い翻訳者を使用しました。
Kugelmugel - I thought this was supposed to be a good band. come on you gave me the roots ;~; i listened to things falling apart today, that shit is amazing. i expect better from you, always.
Uruguay - pure genericism
USA - trying to blend dubstep and death metal... not an inherently bad idea but then it throws in a bunch of stupid shit.
Iran - based on the cover i was like "oh yay its probably another really good black metal thing" but i think thats a different guy and ill have to wait. i really hate 2000s emo vocals and this is rife with it. like emo itself gets a bad rap but theres a specific tone of it i really have an issue with and its here.
Macao - ok beat, but there is no variation in it and it gets really old by the end. most of it is in german and i cant understand it. goddamn roots setting my expectations too high for hip-hop...
Cyprus - wait what? i guess ive forgotten already...
Chad - this is really bad. please stop. this is what people who don't like metal thing metal is
Ecuador - eww. eeeeeewwwwwwwww. idk why, just ewwww.
Bos and Herz - "momentously momentous"... yeah no. ok instrumental, so its better on the merit that i didnt have to exit it.
DRCongo - i had to stop. its too terrible.

those are the full rankings. no sri lanka on here because that was my submission.

i changed my mind, i decided TREOS' second album is better. by like, a lot. at lest 3-4 songs there better than anything on their first one lol.
it's like Thrice's Artist in the Ambulance vs. Vhiessu where the former is more aggressive & less diverse and the latter is more experimental and emotional and better in literally every way i don't understand why people like Artist in the Ambulance at all it's such a boring album god

Submit what you want. Point of this just to share music you like. I didn't care for your entry, personally, but hey, I'm sure plenty of others did. In fact, I'm calling it right now, your entry will do better than mine.

Also, calling first place for Parama. Definitely top 3.

To those who did like my entry (India), do check out the album 'Asphalt for Eden'. One of the best releases of last year imo. Also very relevant to these crazy times we're living in.
