maybe its supposed to be a kind of updated steampunk type setting thing. In post 19, -Grey- wrote:Clothes, hair, automobiles, etc, aren't modern. In post 16, Nero Cain wrote:They are obviously setting it for this time period but I don't really watch it so...
Eh, the police cruisers look like they come from the 80s, so there is that.
Netflix or Hulu?

Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I liked Boston Legal and I like the practice too. I'm not big on cop shows but I did watch a few episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles and I didn't hate it. Family guy used to be ok. Shit like Pawn Stars is a scam (if not totally fake) and I hate all the shows like that.In post 22, N wrote:

Decided to watch Hemlock Grove on Netflix.
I fucking knew the second they opened the first episode with that little girl that she was going to be evil.
So predictable.

Finished Season 3.
I do like the way they humanized Shelley and made her the most lovable character on the show, and it was fitting that the most decent character got a storybook ending while everything else closed out on a tragic note.
Hopefully they'll give her the trust fund she has coming to her if there's a season 4, as hinted in the closing scene.“Trust is an orchid, beautiful but delicate, requiring ideal conditions in order to thrive. Without them, it dies.” - Dahrk (Arrow, Season 4)
