Rosso's 2017 annual news thread

So hi guys. I was randomly thinking about MS today and figured I'd get my "annual" (since I'm 6 months behind) news thread going. I'll start with my news for the 3 of yinz who care. I'm continuing to work at the same place, but at home the kids are doing great. My wife and her sister have started a Twitch stream and she's going to be getting some flute music recorded soon, so if anyone is interested in supporting either of those endeavors, let me know and I'll post the relevant links. Other than that, pretty boring life y'know.

So here's where you help me. I'm going to go back to referencing my old thread a bit to list out a bunch of names, and maybe everyone can do a status report on people you know about. As usual, if I miss anyone of note, please let me know. I know Poro did a really good rundown of people by year, and I'm not saying that would be awesome, but that would be awesome!!!!! Also, any happenings that I've missed with the site, or with news of yours, I'm totally 100% interested, no joke and no scam.

And also, is there still a scumchat anywhere? I know yinz were doing facebook chat for awhile, but that seems like it fizzled out. I think it would be fun to have everyone get on Twitch and play mafia there, like maybe I could be a live mod and everyone could play in chat. Hmm, I like that idea...unless someone else already does that...but if not PATENT!!!!

I am in fact still around. I think there is/was a skype group but I stopped using skype when my RPG group switched to discord. I think there is a discord server but I don't know it.

ANNI!!!!! I definitely will need to do the digging for the discord server I guess, that'll be great. I feel like that is probably the new version of scumchat.

And just to follow up with my total plans, I'm going to grab my old thread and conglomerate the news from 2013, 2015, and today on the list, so if there's anyone around and you see them before I do, have them drop by and post their news. I think it'll be a fun way of chronicling everything. It's nice to look back 11 years (holy fuck, 11 years!!!) sitting in the Cathedral of Learning, stopping myself from studying for a physics exam or something when I first joined.

I don't think I stuck around much after posting in that thread but in 2014 I came back for Oldy 2 Mafia and saw a Survivor game being advertised in Mish Mash, I used to play Survivor as a teen (someone from that community told me about mafiascum, Narninian). During the game I met someone on this site, Cephrir, and we started dating about a month after it ended, which was 2 and a half years ago. He moved here about a year and a half ago. Since then, I've played a few games of mafia and done a ton of Mish Mash games. I forgot I came back in 2013 to post that little message, I remember now when I read it. I don't remember a ton, especially people wise, from 2004-2009 or whatever

My career's been hit or miss, mostly miss lately. I have a degree in comp sci but I'm not sure if I really want to use it and it's not like biology or english where there might be 20 different things you can do with that degree. Lately I've been doing temp work and my friend and I are trying to make a board game and sell it.

I don't play mafia anymore because it's just not fun for me anymore, so I mostly hang around in mish mash. I've modded a couple times in the past couple of years and liked it, but playing isn't for me anymore.

I still have over 1 post per day wooo

Also, is there a spiritual sucessor to scumchat anywhere? Someone mentioned a Discord server...that may be a great place to hang out and play quick games. Perhaps on my Twitch one...(that literally has like 2 other people because I don't take care of it yet).
