Face-to-Face Mafia > Real-Time Mafia > Forum Mafia

EM was great. People would argue over when that was, but you're kidding yourself if you deny that playing the game in real-time isn't more exciting and necessarily more true to the origins of the game itself. I think EM can be a more fulfilling version of Mafia. It's all about the people though. I'd take my chances (and have for the past ~9 years) with a random person at MS before I would at EM.

That said, I've never had more fun playing Mafia than I did during the best times at EM. Even my most memorable games here don't measure up. I have to do a meetup one of these days and see if face-to-face surpasses it (which I think it would), but I'll never forget the fun I had at EM many years ago.

When the people on EM were good to play with, nothing was more fun, definitely.

Place is self-sustained as an outlet for other social media deviants to congregate and join games together while talking about anime (ironically, of course, because being genuine about ur interests just ain't cool my dude)

So I just gave the old girl a visit today. Turns out the solution to that new European data law was to ban all Europeans, owner didn't wanna put in any more effort than that. Seems it's truly on it's death knell now

I'm surprised Lucid did anything, that guy gave up on upkeep in like 2009

yeah well, i think he may have been liable if he did nothing? not sure. still, quite sad. userbase there seems to largely believe this is the end.

That's okay maybe it means something else can crop up just like EM appeared when Cry_Wolf's site went down
