i think subtlety like this is whats missing from the blood spatter

Interestingly enough, the same lighting is applied between the two images for the background.

Same. If anything the guy holding the gun simply illustrates that he's the bad guy we're trying to catch.

I mean cops holding guns aren't seen as being bad dunno since when guns became a bad thing but if that's such an issue then replace it with a werewolf lul. It's like how blood/gore is banned from games in certain countries but no one cares about guns.
