I mean, I'd love if McGregor beat him, but the chance of that seems very slight to me.In post 0, Killthestory wrote:no competition mcgregor wins hands down. most people r saying "well it's boxing mayweathers never lost a boxing match hurr." let me break it down why mcgregor wins
first off, if you watch pacquio v mayweather, you see pacquio has big chances to tag and knock out mayweather. he backs him up to a corner and delives some blows but never really penetrated. plus, mayweather always ducked away because of pacquios low arm reach. conor is a long armed bastard with a killer left hand. he'll tag mayweather with blows coming out the gate and back him into a corner. the moment Floyd tries to run off, conor knocks him the fuck out. he'll knock you out in a blow with both hands, is extremely fast with 8 pounce gloves, and he can change stances fluently.
that leads to the next point. conor trains harder and better. cardio, accuracy, changing stances with fluency, movement (especially importent) taking a beating. floyd looks to have been training his regular schedule. that ain't going to work for conor. conor puts his soul into his work and trains hard every fucking day. floyd does too, the man's in impeccable shape after getting 41 years, but in his recent trainings, you see him getting tired fast with less comprehensive results as to how he'll face conor in the wrong.
also, again, he's old. 41 means he won't be as quick or strong
prime mayweather could best mcgregor. this one can't. he's too old. one mistake, one slipup and conor will have your fucking head. not only is mayweather old, but mcgregor is working on cardio, stamina, and being fast altogethrr. he will run circles around mayweather. mcgregors time shift isn't much a chance for match lengths to him. only a few minutes different with the general rounds more diffrrent.
conor is unlike anything floyds seen before. he's not going to give any fucking respect to his opponent or keep a normal stance. he'll bite ur fucking ear off and not care lol.,plus conor can alternative and he doesn't give a fuck whichever hand knocks him out.
if not any of those, the irishll never surrender. they'll fight tooth and nail for victor6, and conors with that enthusiasm and national pride.
2:30 probably stuff I missed but I'm tired
McGregor's odds are 10/3. Mayweather's is 2/9. That seems to offer you a pretty good place to put your money where your mouth is..- zoraster

serious question do you think conor is the only opponent floyd's had that...trains hard?In post 0, Killthestory wrote:conor trains harder and better. cardio, accuracy, changing stances with fluency, movement (especially importent) taking a beatingthird best scummer of all time- zoraster

I'd put money on McGregor because the odds are good for a payout...but I'd say Mayweather's chances of winning are close to 100%. Boxing isn't an offensive sport like MMA is, so Conor's skillset won't translate well.- zoraster

mcgregor's arm reach is long. he's scoring all of those punches pacquiao misses. he's also lightning speed with his hands and hard as fuck when it comes to hitting. pacquiao was tough and fast, but he had short arm reach and less power than mcgregor. he wasnt landing most of his shots, and when he backed mayweather into a corner, he didn't do anything with it. he also swung with his head dunked down a little bit like a numbnuts and subsequently got knocked in the head.
mayweather's old, too. 41. you can see it in the back of his arms and when you look at his training exercises, you can see he's got a lot less stamina than when he was young. mayweather is built and on it everday. everyone is saying it's a boring fight but it's not going to be. mcgregor is going to win.
im putting 20 on him.
about the dumbest thing ive heard all day

I think people underestimate how difficult it is to transition between Boxing and MMA. Mike Tyson was interviewed about possibly going into MMA at one point, and he said he'd probably lose because it's a different sport. I don't think McGregor has any real chance of beating Mayweather. But that's besides the point; Mayweather fights for years have been more about selling on PPV for $100+ rather than any hope that somebody can actually beat Mayweather. McGregor is great for that, since he's such a good hype man for his own fights. And he's going to be a winner in a sense, in that he's going to walk away from the fight with huge money even if he loses. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.- Killthestory

yeah i can understand that. a lot of it is my built on bias towards mayweather because my dad hates him and so do i. not only is he a sissy whos only won all his fighting matches from being a punk ass and running away from the fighting, but he's a dick in real life, too. my dad's had friends work for him and my dad's worked on his house as wood flooring. he's just a fucking cuck to people and thinks he's better than them.
mcgregor coming in and defeating mayweather seems unlikely, but i think the chances are much higher than what a lot of people give him credit for. i might be wrong, but i'll take being wrong because i support conor wholeheartedly.- Killthestory

yeah i dunno... i think when you're an athlete you do what it takes to win. I can respect Mayweather's fighting style. He's very, very good at it. But I would prefer to see exciting fighters win, and I would prefer not to see people like Mayweather win -- but he'll get a ton of money either way so....- Killthestory

ok i dont give mayweather enough credit ur definitely right. he trains extremely hard and to be even considered at fighting ability at 41 is a testament to his skill. that said, i really dislike him for what he does and who he is and how he views boxing in comparison to fighters like conor, so i truly want conor to win. mayweather says he only values two things, really, and that's his money and record. that just pisses me off i guess lol.Last edited by Killthestory on Sat Aug 19, 2017 8:59 am, edited 1 time in total.- zoraster

i rewrote my post because i thought you said something else. I agree the guy is an asshole who abuses women.
But keep in mind that Mayweather has basically made his phenomenally economically successful career by being the guy to hate and root against (as well as being undefeated, which also feeds that). If you or your father buy the PPV and then root against Mayweather, Mayweather will be happy with your decision..- Killthestory

yeah, he's like the villain of boxing except when you get to the climax it's literally just more buildup until the movie ends lol. and yeah mayweather doesnt care what anybody thinks about him because hes got money, but that doesnt mean ill just not dislike him yknow? im putting all my faith in conor here because not only do i believe he'll win, but i like everything he stands for when it comes to fighting.- Sudo_Nym

I would disagree that boxing is just smacking the other guy with your gloves, though. My uncle was a boxing trainer, and he always insisted that boxing was more about the defensive maneuvering and the footwork than the actual punches- the best boxer is the one who doesn't get hit, not the one that hits a lot of punches. But then, none of his students went on to do anything famous, so who knows what his opinion is worth. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies.
