it's actually more nuanced than that
there is a zodiac based on the seasons that most westerners use (tropical zodiac), and one based on astrology that I thought was initiated in India or something like that (sidereal zodiac). The former has not changed because its essentially based on the calendar. The latter has changed because of slight shifting of the stars relative to the calendar over the course of centuries. But since in the west we've p much always used tropical zodiac, nothing has really chnaged

Astrology works in mysterious ways

Astrology as a science, no way Jose. But there are various ways for something to work not just per se, so let's take a moment and play, with this concept and its origins and its implications.

Signs are portions of the sky our sun seems to travel through like stations. They are territories belonging to the stellar constellations. The system was established in ancient Rome about 2000 years ago.
