So, a crazy idea has been cooked up. MEM MEET! Nero and I would be hosting, since we're the two scummers in Memphis.

We're pretty centrally located in the country, and there's been a bit of interest shown, and it would be fun. We have a few ideas already for fun things to do.

For now, lets see if there's interest. I'll keep this post updated with details and ideas, and maybe even eventually a list!

I WILL BAKE COOKIES FOR EVERYONE

Possible Activities
(will keep updating)
Beale Street (21+ after dark) party and get drunk, also buy t shirts and shot glasses
Mud Island River Park
Peabody Hotel for the parade of the ducks http://www.peabodymemphis.com/ducks-en.html
Escape Rooms
Eat the best damn BBQ ever
Board Games (We have a HUGE board game club, with access to pretty much anything!)
Brooks museum of Art
Shelby Farms for hiking or just trail walking (they also have zip lines)
bowling

Great food

One and Only BBQ (#1 imo)
Central BBQ (#2 imo, fite me)
Cheffies (sandwiches and salads, really good!)
YOLO (frozen yogurt)
Gus's (amazing fried chicken, world famous!)
Young Ave Deli (not really a deli, great food)
Huey's (local chain, they let you shoot toothpicks into the ceiling and write on the walls. Also good food)
Memphis Pizza Cafe (pizza....)
Gibson Donuts (it's a must and the donuts are half price after 11pm)

That sounds disgusting, like something you would eat to get a heart attack. :dead:

So, I know its about a year away, but lets start talking dates. I'm not super set in it being Sept/Oct, if we want to decide on something else.

How long of a meet do we want to do? A week?

For me, reading week in October or before uni classes begin in September would be best

I mean, the only reason that I suggested Sepy/OCT b/c it was still hot AF all summer and it was still snowing in Spring (I had thought we still got snow till May!) TBH, it was still hot in Sept and its finally cool now in Oct.

at the same time, this is about ya'll. Like I've done Beale and all that jazz so its whenever. Like I think this is something Chick really wants to do and I said I'd help plan so yeah...

So I mean if this is going to be a summertime thing that's cool.

I mean I feel like summer might be more convenient for many people. What's everyone else's thoughts?

I'm sure that the airbnb we get will have a/c.

Idk, I think the lack of ac just made every second spent under the ceiling fan ever more blissful by comparison.
