I see no real downside to the first option. If I get to keep my current memories then I'd be a super fucking smart 9 year old heck yeah; maybe I can skip high school (also the worst part of my life) entirely and go straight to uni and get rich and famous.
If I don't get to keep my memories then nothing changes.
If I didn't have my current memories at the time then nothing would happen differently and I wouldn't be aware I was being forced to live my life again so I'd just... have duplicate memories at the end? Is that even possible? I feel like it isn't. Maybe I'd have more vivid memories.
This is coming from a newly 29 year old, wondering if he should have done things differently. It's like the oncoming of a mid-life crisis except 10 years too early.
Mostly retired. Unless you ask or it's something interesting.
Please note Kison, if I ever post this kind of thread, I should be banned for 24 hoursish. If you can do that automatically, it's probably for the best.

I think my life went wrong about 10 years ago, so easy choice.
There is hope on my next 10

My life has steadily and unwaveringly gotten worse for the last 10 years and I see no reason that trend shouldn't continue for the next ten so the clear choice is to avoid them and hopefully I'll be be dead by the end of it.

In post 6, Porochaz wrote:Thats a point... Hmmm... ok, you have a general outline of what happens if you live the way you did, so you can deviate from that if you want?
Live the past 10 years again AND get to answer the question: if you know (to a certain degree) the end result of your choices how much would you chance/could you change? It is an interesting question.

I would absolutely be a more sociopathic, manipulative human being.
Being kind and trusting is for fools who wish to be used as stepping stones.

struggling to think of a scenario in which someone would want to skip 10 years and then go back to life
can this be simplified into camus's question
unless those past 10 are really really bad and this is a choice between 2 bad things instead of 2 desirable things
