Seriously?

Seattle FO Dude #1: We need to reinvent this team by dumping the aging veterans. What should we do in free agency?

Seattle FO Dude #2: Sign Brandon Marshall
Brandon Marshall will play for all 30 teams before retiring.
Is that supposed to mean all or 30?

Chloroform girl, how have you been?
Don't let me catch you sleeping again
You're only alive because I like you
It's been three years since you've seen the sunlight
But I know you're having fun
Bound, gagged and chained up in my basement

Jason Pierre-Paul posted a picture of his fireworks-induced hand injury from three years ago. You probably don't want to look at it, but the message was clear enough: Do not fuck around with fireworks tomorrow.

Looks like i am right. Nice gap between may 4 and june 25 there. And thats on page 11 so more than 10 pages were before june. June and July 2017 do not even equal 25 posts. New thread should go up
after
this lull before preseason
Next time some one recreates the thread for next year they should keep this in mind since another lull is bound to happen and recreating this thread at about the same time the fantasy thread go up, seems like a good idea.

I still don't see why its a big deal. I guess from my POV it's funky to talk about 2018 season stuff in a 2017 thread. If it's just a matter of putting more content here I (or you? or anyone *cough* mods *cough*) could post more about various football topics and we could all argue/discuss like Bells holdout or wish Demarco Muarry our best wishes or something.

Okay I will drop it

Also I get why steelers are not paying bell given the history of RBs that get as many carrys as him (consider the career of murray), but if steelers don't pay Bell and have a lackluster run game, they may miss the playoffs. An unmotivated Bell may not run well on purpose and Ben/Antonio can't do it all. The run game is too important to that team. They really should consider going to a running back by committee and getting the players to do that before the team succumbs to age and injury. Try to do what the saints are doing since Ben has only a few years left. The window for the team is closing.

It's just the evolution of the game. RBs are still pretty important but they've become less important in the modern pass-heavy game. Unless I'm mistaken Bell is getting 14 million this year (I'd happily take that!) He's 26 and thus likely has 3 good years left. I mean it's certainly possible that he could still be productive at 30 and beyond but I think the Steelers don't want to risk that and I wouldn't be surprised if that's what the Steelers are trying to do. I feel like it would be good for Bell to sign a new 4-year deal but then maybe he and his camp are afraid that teams may not want a 30-year-old RB despite his pedigree. Or maybe it's not the length of the contract but the $$$. Maybe Bell wants more than $56 million over the next 4 years or something. I'm not sure whats going on but I think Bell
SHOULD
get paid but Bell should like not be greedy and want way too much money.

oh, he's been offered a 5 year 70 million dollar contract so that's 14 million a year. He should take it I think.

The issue Bell has is that he (rightly so) wants guaranteed money, because he knows he plays a shit position. Can't blame him for wanting that. Players at other positions get massive guaranteed money in their deals, Bell should rightly want his even if this is his last contract.

Side note, this year, I will not be running any of the games I have in the past (three strikes, confidence pool, etc), and wouldn't mind seeing someone else running them if there's interest.
Sup, later.
