I would make fun of you for being young and not remembering the beforetimes when NE was the joke team of the league, but I too am too young to remember.
What if the before-times are coming back???
Update: they aren't and the pats are at-worst a mediocre team.

Which is still too good

The Steelers suck so far. I wish ben would retire already. And I wish they'd get rid of Bell, their #1 prima donna. It always feels like a rehash of last year where they struggle through every game.

I usually don't give advice to Steelers, but I really think Pit needs to adopt an offensive strategy similar to the saints offense. Kamara and Ingram were quite the duo last year. They give Brees time to think and a rushing threat. Brees is well equipped to play at his age. Steelers should have done the same and gotten a partner for Bell. There are more teams that do RB by committee than having one man do it all. Bell has been injuried a lot and had quite the ego. Getting him a partner, would have kept him healthier and given him less ground to stand on. As it stands, Pitt is either gonna need to pay or trade him since their locker room is getting pretty toxic over the dilemma.

it's been said that he'll return to the team week 7. I don't really think the Steelers going RBBC would really solve anything. The pass-heavy play calling was their bad thing from last week. Their D (or lack thereof) is the biggest prob.
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Right, the issue is they've allowed more passing touchdowns in the first 4 games then any team ever, and only some of that has to do with the NFl being flag football nowadays.

You're probably right. If there's one thing I've noticed is that other QB's seem to get a lot more time to set up plays, but the Steelers just can't seem to give Ben any. It's like they just crumble. It's always a struggle. And it doesn't help that he's getting old and gets injured easy. If he could risk getting hit, I bet he'd be great and that wouldn't matter as much; but this just isn't going to work for the team.

Yeah, that certainly isn't helping either. They always seem to have a defense that crumbles. Especially towards the end of a game and it seems like the offense always has to make up for it. Even when they supposedly have one of the "best" defenses in the league (whatever the announcers mean when they say that).

Oh well. It's just a silly game where hot sweaty men try to grab each other and never let go of the balls.

Well, a lot of it has been the absence of shazier. The do everything linebacker is like...the 3rd or 4th most important position in football and the steelers don't have one.

If this keeps up for in the second half, the idea of the Jags being the best team in the AFC is dead, right?

Jags 2nd half has been better but yeah seems like Chiefs > Jags (w/o Fournette at least but Yeldon was very not the problem this game)

The problem is that rn it seems like there's a 50% chance Bortles plays like a god and a 50% chance he's ass and also lol the receivers.

My team killed my parlay by playing good for once. But my tease is still alive. As long as the saints win tomorrow I cash.

I mean, they're almost certainly #2 right now. Although if Brady and Gordon get a good thing going, then the top of the AFC is suddenly pretty spicy.

I can see CIN making the playoffs, but I can't see them getting far in it

KC vs Rams is looking like a probable super bowl pick

I doubt Reid makes the Super Bowl, and I doubt he'll beat whoever is out of the NFC

NE is always the favorite as long as Bill and Tom are around
