it's a political platform focused on conservative/traditionalist policies, reduced spending and balancing the budget, national security, crime reduction and the rule of law, and economic stability.

Specifically, the Canadian conservative party's current big topic is getting us out of the debt that our current liberal government is digging us into by privatizing hydro generation plants. They're selling the government's income sources so they can boast about their balanced budget while screwing over the future governments.

our conservatives (by that i mean small c, not Cory Bernardi) are in general far better than yours on a range of issues. our debate feels much more substantive, although on the other hand our news outlets are all trash. but i don't regard the word conservative with as much vitriol as some Americans do. Having said that, I'm still voting Green when I become able to vote lol.
