Yeah the problem with that version of Iraq (Yes/Long Distance Runaround) is it includes the mostly instrumental track after it on the album, and I was only entering the one track.
This one still has some restrictions, but fewer I think?

This is a good contest. I like my top 4 almost equally well even though they're pretty different from each other. The failure mode of clever is asshole.

1 brazil: i can already tell this is trippy. I5t's not particularily my thing but it's not terrible?
2 Liechtenstein: uhm, what?
3 lebanon: Just my favorite super pretty song from my favorite group <3
4 Hungary: slow beat but it had good emotion behind it
5 Kenya: I don't know why this sounds a little sinister to me, i can't understand the words. oh someone posted the lyrics. That explains it. Is there a word for downbeat songs?
6 USA: yeah this is more my jam. even if it's a love song
7 Malawi: okay i gotta admit, when a video starts with a guy with a porn mustache staring soulfully at me i want to scream and run away, but this is really good.
8 Slovenia: this is super catchy. maybe a bit repetitive? I liked it regardless.
9 Poland: I've heard this song a lot! My friends like folksy fighting songs.
10 Djibouti: I really hope a beat drops soon. Oh, okay, I guess that was it. This song needs a loud climax or something. ..oh it's only half over, this is still going lol, there it is.
11 Italy: it's chill, sounds good.
12 Burkina Faso: oh here's some gregorian chanting or something, the neighbours can ask me what cult ive been inducted to listening to this.
13 Iraq: beat is okay, even if it feels disjointed to me.
14 Lativa: whoah, surprisingly not a video game soundtrack
15 Macedonia: Okay I skipped ahead to make sure no one screamed during this so I can turn my sound up. Holy shit.
16 Bhutan: This is silly.
17 Central African Republic: Another kinda disjointed thing. I guess I'd be okay listening to it again.

Brazil - Chill sound, I like it a lot! This is actually really deep too, awesome shit!
Liechtenstein - Oh My God this is hilarious! WTF Tho! XD
Lebanon - I like this too, VNV is pretty great! Nice techno buildup and a strong follow-through. Like, I would club to this! I like that even in the middle part, the transition always feels ike it's going somewhere. A lot of songs stall at that point but this one doesn't.
Hungary - Pearl Jam is always a good choice. This is quite chill. Felt a little, I dunno, forgettable though.
Kenya - This was fun. I'm not really a big Rock guy but I liked it.
USA - This makes me think of Big Shiny Tunes 8 and that makes me smile. I'm not sure if I like it but I like the feel of it!
Malawi - Be Prepared, but tamer? Alright.
Nvm it got a bit funky, I actually enjoy this a lot more as it goes on.
Slovenia - Spainish Guitar! Yussss!
Groovy take on this song, love it!
Poland - Love the Irish Descendants!!! I really need to get back into Celtic music because this is fantastic! <3
Djibouti - O Dis Me! I started listening to her because of Final Space on Netflix, which I strongly recommend watching!
Her music is very much about the journey which is probably why I like it.
Italy - Chill.
Burkina Faso - Ghostly almost at parts. God use of the light vocals for effect, good control.
Iraq - This feels very throwback, and being a remastered piece I assume I'm correct. Great groove, good runaround feel. I'm bad at write-ups.
Latvia - Celtic Landscape visualized! I can feel the mist on the moors when I listen to this! Bagpipes blend beautifully rather than screeching and the whole thing if beautiful!
Macedonia - Great jazzy piece! Added some needed dance energy to this contest! Love this a lot.
Bhutan - Good chill with some groove. Maybe I should find things more like this to submit because this is great and is definitely going to rank way higher than my own submission!
Central African Republic - I didn't expect to like this based on the cover art submitted and was delightfully surprised. Good stuff!Half meme, Half real, All Aristophanes ;)- JingleAri has appeared way too competent for me to even pretend to know what they're thinking

Brazil - this is a very, very pleasant series of sounds. it's warm and comforting and I feel at peace listening to it. which is ironic considering the lyrics, but, I mean, that's artistry, baby
Liechtenstein - I'm glad someone's willing to make a song about this important social issue. we don't talk enough about this as a society
Lebanon - this isn't bad per se but it just didn't ever capture me despite being very long. like I can't fathom listening to something that sounds like this because I thought it was a good time. the, like, long instrumental section in the middle just doesn't go anywhere. the ending was pretty fun and chill I guess
Hungary - I like all the components of this but I'm not sure the vocals fit with the instruments? like it sounds good but just a tiny bit dissonant. not bad though just not my favorite
Kenya - this is the kind of song where if I went to a concert to see my favorite band and this was the opening act I wouldn't mind it at all but I also wouldn't look them up online later on. I've looked up opening acts online later on before too so I'm not just talkin outta my ass
USA - I fuckin love listening to generic pop punk songs dude. it's so rad. also here's a quote from their Wikipedia page: "Matt Collar of AllMusic described the band as making 'exuberant punk-pop and emo-rock' music.[2] Rock Sound described the band's sound as 'Fast and classically melodic pop-punk' combined with a 'distinct and unashamed pop sensibility.'[46]" I hope you enjoyed reading that information
Malawi - this isn't the sort of thing I would normally ever listen to but I like it for that. it's something very different and it all works pretty well. a lot of fun instruments in this one
Slovenia - this is a really, really good cover. like there are a lot of covers where it's basically just a different group of people doing the exact same song and there are covers where it radically changes the song and turns it into something new but this is somewhere in the middle where it feels like the artist creating something very personal and meaningful but without feeling like it's disconnected from the original. apparently this artist has several albums of guitar covers and I kind of want to hear them all
Poland - apparently this song has a pretty dense history and a lot of cultural significance and I don't know literally anything about any of that but it's really, really enjoyable to listen to, and that's good enough for me!
Djibouti - this is the kind of thing that I could see myself getting really into but it didn't necessarily immediately capture me.
Italy - it's been a few years since I was really super into Donald Glover's music but I'm never disappointed when I hear any of it. I love it when a song mentions summer and then you listen to the song and you're like "oh geez yep that's a Summer Song". this is a Summer Song. a good thing to hear just before midnight on a warm August day. that's when I heard it because I'm in EST, the correct timezone.
Burkina Faso - I listened to all of these songs with the fine people of the Team Fox discord server, and the bot we were using to play music displayed how long each song was, and most of the songs said they were like 3 minutes and 35 seconds or whatever, but this one was 4 minutes, 47.45100000000002 seconds, and I gotta tell you: I was underwhelmed by the first 4 minutes and 47.451 seconds, but the last 0.00000000000002 seconds really changed things for me. really turned things around
Iraq - I googled this band and apparently for their first year or two of existence their name had an exclamation mark at the end of it. they should've kept that. it'd be like Jeb! except it's Yes! they really gave up a great opportunity there
Latvia - this kind of music is good but it doesn't make me feel anything. like I don't have any emotions about this. it's all very skillfully made and it's an impressive composition and that's great but I was never moved by it and that's a bit of a bummer.
Macedonia - oh this is very fun. it's just so fast and energetic and exciting. in the Team Fox discord, EP claimed that they did not submit this song and in fact forgot to submit ANY song for this Song Contest, but who are we to believe?
Bhutan - I like to imagine that this song was in fact commissioned by the San Diego Zoo and they were like "write us a really kick-ass theme song" and then they were like "this is not what we were asking for at all but it's still pretty good". that's a nice fantasy to believe in
Central African Republic - this was nice but I didn't really have strong feelings about it I guess.- GreenLiquid

this was a really polarising contest for me
some stuff was ace, other stuff was really boring. like, i rated the pee song higher than 8 other songs, and i didn't even laugh at the pee song i just thought it was legitimately a musically superior piece and that made me sad
but on the plus side the rest of the stuff was mostly much better than pee song
i rate this contest peesongbarometer/10- Davsto

kudos especially to the Sultans of Swing cover. I'm usually incredibly averse to covers of songs I like and was not expecting much out of one of my favourite songs being covered, but it's a great interpretation. I particularly love how he did the second guitar solo from the original, first replicating it note-for-note (as it is basically a perfect solo) but then adding his own stylistic ending after the climax to add a bit of a personal touch.- SnowStorm

Brazil - I like how "messy" this sounds. It's ok.
Liechtenstein - Not even funny.
Lebanon - Reminds me of this.
Hungary - This was boring. Not a fan of the repetitive lyrics and I guess I expected more from this band.
Kenya - This is cool. I like this.
USA - Generic and bland.
Malawi - Oh, this is getting points.
Slovenia - Meh. I'm really not into acoustic guitar covers.
Poland - Nope.
Djibouti - Ok.
Italy - Hm. Ok.
Iraq - Ok. It's cool.
Latvia - No.
Macedonia - I'm so disappointed this is only instrumental; I was curious to hear a Japanese guy sing in Portuguese. It's nice though.
Bhutan - This was unexpected, it's pretty nice.
Central African Republic - This too!
I expected this to be worse, but I think it was an average contest.- Song Contest
