brazil -- this is fun as hell and I love it. that beat tho. a unique, exciting take on a super familiar thing. this piano is so delightful. I love it. this gets so chaotic and wild in a way that is super fun. while we listened to this, ari described it as music for doing cocaine to, and I can't disagree.
liechtenstein -- it's just very pleasant okay
hungary -- according to ari the story in these lyrics is really nice but I'm bad at listening to the story so I missed all that dang context. this all felt very well-made but it never really captured me.
usa -- this isn't really a genre I love but it seems like a well-made song within the context of what it's trying to be... it's just not for me.
iceland -- ari tells me this is in 3/4 times, and listen, I'm not some nerd who knows about music, so I don't have any idea what that means, but I like how this sounds a lot. I love how it transitions between super intense and super calm. also at one point while we were listening Mina came into the room and said it was good so I'm pretty sure that's a quorum or something
lebanon -- ari and I came to the conclusion that this is basically a Disney villain song, but, like, the kind of villain where they're ambiguous and not totally evil. that's canon now. also kanye came through the room and recognized this song so that's good to know
estonia -- this is so much fun! it's full of things that are totally unexpected and great. I'm fuckin into it
kiribati -- I'm very into these vocals! this is a really nice voice. I asked annadog what she thinks of this song and she said "it's okay" so, like, that could be better
slovenia -- I looked at this album art and I was like "this is gonna be 11 minutes long" and then neither the link in the post nor the alternate link someone else posted worked so I googled it and after multiple false starts found out it's less than 11 minutes long and honestly that made me love it even before the song actually began just from the relief of not listening to a long operatic metal song. anyway this sounds like boss music from a JRPG and there are a lot of boss themes from JRPGs that I fuckin love but I would never listen to one divorced from that context.
burkina faso -- if this was Music Video Contest or if it was Key Change Contest this might be near the top of my list, but...... nah
djibouti -- this is fun as hell and if you don't like it then your Fun License is officially revoked.
central african republic -- well, this is a song i guess
libya -- this definitely isn't at the very top of my list but this is a perfect song to close out the contest. just really nice and good

Follow up notes btw:

Brazil - I'm a sucker for the familiarity and this is done really well

Lichtenstein - I love this and could feel the fun they were having even if I didn't have the video!

USA - Reminded me a lot of Marianas Trench

Iceland - I am am even bigger sucker for 3/4 time! It is literally my favoutire time signature! XD this song was awesome!
Actually I think I voted you too low tbh but I already submitted and forget so I hope I didn't shaft you!

Kiribati - Her vocals are like if Adele and Selena Gomez had a child! I mean that in a good way btw.

Are you calling me a Disney Villain? Look I'm just saying Maleficient did nothing wrong. I didn't quite get comments that are.. comemnts on all of these. >.>

1 brazil: Well I like how this starts. It sounds like exciting stage music. Oh there are no words? I like it as background music.
2 Liechtenstein: This song nearly put me to sleep, it is not suitable for late night listening. I like it though. It's soft and pleasant.
3 Hungary: Oh god another slow song, I'm not going to make it to the endzzzzzzz It's a bit melancholy, I like it
4 USA: This song is beautiful. It has the right mix hauntingly energetic for me.
5 Iceland - I like parts of it a lot but I think it's too long, I've listened to it a few times and been surprised it's not over.
6 Lebanon: If someone puts this on their 'favorite song' mixtape it's probably a good time to find them a therapist. Maybe every teenager goes through this phase?
7 Estonia: Plucky upbeat things are nice. Found it a little bland though.
8 Kiribati: Half the comments say they don't get the video followed by Did it go over your head? How did spagetti become ramen? How does silly putty fix it?
9 Slovenia: I love Nightwish. It's kind of a cheat haha
10 Burkina Faso: ew this is about love. its okay but sappy is not my genre
11 Djibouti: I would like this better without the video of childre-THE COMMENTS SAY THEY'RE 24 WTAF
12 Central African Republic: A laid back song that doesn't put me to sleep is nice.
13 Libya: swingy lol
