Haken gets 12 by default from me
Only other artists I recognize are Moby and CHRVCHES
I dunno, maybe I'll vote just to give Haken a 12, both singles from the new album have been rad but I doubt they'll do well hereShowEver wanted a playlist full of a lot of music I really dig? Here you go.

Adrian Belew played guitar on Remain in Light, playing quite a few of the solos (definitely the crazy beepyboopy one in Born Under Punches and the one in The Great Curve)In post 26, Parama wrote:Haken gets 12 by default from me

I was similarly curious when I first heard the song:
Here is a google books preview. If you search for "dog's" for example, it takes you to a section of the book where children were apparently asked to list things that made them happy.A youtube comment wrote:samples seem to be taken from a reading of: The Power of Positive Thinking: 10 Traits for Maximum Results! I dont think theres anything to get-- either it's pleasant and interesting to listen to or it isnt, and I would get why it isnt.
On my end, i tend towards appreciating of repetition in a lot of things, but i dont think its from something that i'm seeing that everyone else is missing. I just like it.did another ms user do something lovely? recognize their achievements here!

Spain: Juliana Hatfield - I See You
Classic late 80s/early 90s style. I like it
The vocals are good, its simple and nice. And the simplicity is reflected in the video style.
I mean, it's a little weird that it's literally a song to and about a cockroach(?), but that also grounds the song.
I'd listen to this again with a smile
Tanzania: Sorrow Estate - Pitter Patter
What a nice smooth song
Lots of emotion without slapping you with it!
And the onomatopoeia is well used actually.
Greenland: Keaton Henson - Small Hands
Birbs and ahobbit holedrainage hole(?) to start! I like that!
It's a rabbit hole and these animals are so cute!!! OMG!
:O :O :'(
They killed them!
Pathetic Fallacy is well used as the rain starts but I am so sad
And just one of the lover pairs too! EVEN THE SNAILS!!!
Imma weep if this keeps up.
My poor heartstrings </3
USA: In No Hurry To Shout - Noise
The title lies. All they do is shout.
Waited for it to become musical. it remained Meh.
Oh, is this the one where the end is obviously a second song and should not be counted? I liked that part better.
Liechtenstein: Raychel Jay - I don't like u
This reminds me of a youtuber I follow(ed - haven't seen them post in a while) who does Acoustic K-pop covers.
I really like the style and the sound of it, as well as the mixing of languages. It's an easy listen that brings a smile
Djibouti: Hot Chip - I Feel Better
LMAO at this song after the other ones that have been posted!
Kinda diverges a bit
I think it's hilarious though, as well as a good tune and a fantastic video!
I LOL every time at the dance-off portion! Each guy comes out and the fans are like "OMG <3 U!!!" not "THIS GUY IS DANGEROUS GET OUT!!!" XD XD
Hungary: Vienna Boys Choir - Tritsch-Tratsch Polka
"Oh God A Polka" - Me upon reading the title XD
WHOA! Those are some fancy-ass trumpets! I want one!
Polkas are so much fun, but I can never take them seriously
It's a very nicely arranced piece, keeps a good energy, and the trumpet/choir combo is well done! Enjoyed.
Side note here, but I've gotten banner ads for Kuhmo Winter Tires.
Like, yes I work in the field but I don't drive so...you've got the wrong demographic
South Korea: Moby - Extreme Ways
Uhh, this isn't bad. I thought I'd hate it when it started but I did not!
OOOOO They're giving me Lightsaber ads now!!!!!!!!!
Much better! =D
Kenya: Dimash Kudaibergenov - SOS of an Earthly Being in Distress
Oh My Fuck Hold The Phone Holy Shit!!!
That voice is amazing! The story in the song is so fitting to it and it just soars!! :O
Just, WOW! <3
Italy: The Megas - The Message From Dr. Light/Level Select
Meh
Good energy but I'd like it better without the...vocal intensity of some parts?
Byzantium: Jack Stauber - Lima Bean Man
Lebanon: And One - Military Fashion Show
Techno start - good start.
Yeaah, I enjyed the sounds in this, and the vocals are fun.
Egypt: Zammuto - My Dog's Eyes
How peaceful.
Disconcerting, yet peaceful.
Ecuador: Haken - Puzzle Box
Oh yay the required rock song.
The polyrhythmic section was....well polyrhythmic.
I want to applaud the writing but meh. It didn't actually sound good XD
Wait, I'm supposed to say nice things...
uh, it inspired me to make a snack while I waited for it to end!
Burkina Faso: Farao - Lula Loves You
Fun song! A lil bland but not bad.
Hong Kong: The Greatest Showman (Movie/Cast) - The Greatest Show
The video says Hugh Jackman beside Zac Effron... is there a typo!?!?
I like this! Very Musical, much wow
United Kingdom: CHVRCHES - The Mother We Share
This is good! I really like the how the singer's sound, as well as the backup, mimics the blueprint feel and reveal, like a faltering reality!
Madagascar: Secret Service - Oh Susie
This is so memeticly the style it intends to be! Holy cow XD
Enjoyable fo sho
His dance moves make me lol every time
Central African Republic: Adrian Belew - Pretty Pink Rose
Rock and Roll feel, throwbacky. Alright.
Reminds me of Bowie
Right! This is the Bowie one!
It's aight, as I say.
Bhutan: Nujabes - Blessing It - Remix
Ah, a nice jazzy end to things, as it should be.
Smooth shit, and the rap compliments well.Half meme, Half real, All Aristophanes ;)- JingleAri has appeared way too competent for me to even pretend to know what they're thinking

United Kingdom – I’ve never been too impressed with anything I’ve heard from these guys in the past but this has a decent enough groove to it. It’s fun enough. (DECENT)
USA – The drums just sound like garbage and drown out the guitars pretty much the entire song, there’s no real sense of dynamics to this and as such it comes off as… really flat. I see the potential for a decent song but it’s really ruined by the percussion-heavy mixing. (MEDIOCRE)
Hong Kong – This kind of was just normal bad until that freaking awful high-pitched singer came in towards the end and absolutely blew out my eardrums with one of the most unpleasant sounds I’ve heard in ages. But no, what the hell is this, this sounds like AJR was soundtracking this movie lol. I hate it.
Central African Republic – It’s definitely not as weird/unlistenable as anything from Talking Heads but it’s mostly just a very… normal song, that’s about it. It’s fine enough. (AVERAGE)
Greenland – Let’s gather round the campfire and sing our generic indie folk song song. Like literally this sounds exactly like every other song in this style. He’s an okay enough singer but there’s no flavor to this, dammit. (MEDIOCRE)
Liechtenstein – Well this isn’t… bad, but it barely qualifies as a song. It’s quite possibly the least interesting song that’s ever been entered in a song contest. Congrats. (MEDIOCRE)
i ain't gonna vote if the rest of the contest keeps up like this because g e e z people find some goddamn interesting music to listen to for once
there were actually 7 songs in this set but i noped out of Hungary's within 20 seconds so no writeup for youShowEver wanted a playlist full of a lot of music I really dig? Here you go.
