Things in media that scared you as a kid.

Tell us about things in media that you were afraid of when you were younger, no matter how silly it seems now. It can be anything, like shows, commercials, video games, etc.

I remember I used to be afraid of Olmec from Legends of the Hidden Temple.

Super Mario Sunshine terrified me as a kid.
Smooth as silk when he's scum, and very much capable of running things from behind the scenes while appearing to be doing minimal effort. - Almost50

I went to the ball drop in downtown Buffalo for 2000, at the tender age of 10, almost 11

I was terrified we would all be gassed by terrorists

Probably a combination of Y2K fears and watching too much 90s Batman

Twister was legitimately one of the scariest films I knew of, and yet I still watched it.
Ditto Jurassic Park (not so much the first so much as The Lost World tho).
Maybe The Beauty and the Beast as well?

But we're talking.
Like.
4-year-old me; by the time I was, like, 7, none of these would've scared me.

Sharon, Lewis, & Bran was a kids show in Canada. Typical song songs kinda thing. They had a song about" who stole the cookie from the cookie jar" and by the end of the song, it turns out that it's a gorilla hand coming in from the window and taking cookies. Big laugh.

But man, the idea of random gorilla hands popping up out of nowhere to grab things kinda freaked me out for a bit. Like the fear of monster under the bed grabbing me, but confirmed by a benign safe kids show

E.T. scared the crap out of me. I hated him and pretty much anything else animetronic. Chuck E Cheese usually ended with me screaming for my life.

Tornado's frighten and hypnotize me. I love them. (I studied meteorology for 6 years in military and college.)

Twisted Metal III I think? Had a bald dude that talked in between levels that made me sprint out of the room.

Also the dinosaurs in Turok 2 made my legs jelly.

And the ghosts in Mario 64

I was like, actually scared of those shitty lost episode creepypasta like Squidward's Suicide and Dead Bart
Show
Do I REALLY suck? That's up to you to decide.

Retiring from LSG's and Mish Mash, for the most part. If you want to contact me, I suggest going outside and enjoying what the world has to offer, instead.

Definitely DID suck, in the end...Probably.
