Cooking/Baking thread

Hello this thread has probably been made before but I dunno if I should necrobump instead of just making a new thread.

Who likes to make food things? I like making foods, especially foods with a lot of different spices. I have a pretty decent spice collection with some things that were really hard to find.

Some things I've made recently - samosas, green curry, fried coconut dumplings, lasagna, orange muffins...

That sounds awesome! Do you have pictures of what you have cooked?

I've been trying to get myself pumped up to go and learn more defying dishes 'cause cooking gives me joy (also eating of course), but I don't know where to start as a beginner. Any recomendations?

I'll probably post some later, I do have a few pics of fun things I made.

If you're looking for something easy but different from the usual, you could always go with a stir fry. They're quite simple to make and with the right sauce can be amazing.

Stews are also similarly easy, generally putting things in a pot and letting them cook. But there's stews from all around the world to try out.

I was totally thinking in stews, since I tried ramen for the first time a few weeks ago, and I fell in love. It's one of the main reasons why I want to start cooking actually! And because my parents got a slow cooker.

Did you get into cooking for any particular reason?

Surprisingly I could only find one photo of my samosas.

Stews are great. My favorite is a moroccan squash stew that I eat with couscous.

I started cooking a lot when I became a vegetarian, since I needed to make more of my own food. Since then I've cooked a ton of different stuff!
