LOL I haven’t listened to INK in a long ass time. I remember when they were a pop-punk band, jeez that was so long ago. I like how you posted Baroness and INK in the same realm, I’m glad other people out there aren’t stuck to one subset of Metal like many are. Last time I was really into INK was back in 2014 with

. I haven’t really liked the new version of them. I dig the whole horror apathetic but I’m just not into the music anymore. They lost a lot of members and I think they’ve definitely changed, even though it’s always been mainly Spencer’s band. I got to hang out with their old rhythm guitarist turned bassist at a show back in like 2012 or something. He was a really cool dude that like took us all around the venue as he was trying to sell CDs. That guy is now in Motionless in White haha

With Baroness it's more of a style thing. They clip as an effect kinda like NiN. I also do like that they're okay with an imperfect album in terms of timing, intonation, stuff like that.

Also between Gold and Gray vs Silver Scream, the latter has a *lot* more sibilance which is what makes it really hard to listen to with my car speakers. Idk if that's strictly because of brickwalling, but to my knowledge it definitely doesn't help.
