is in the past. I am here today to alert you to a menace that's still happening. I spread Mith's lies for as long as I could, but I can't hold them in any longer.

Mith is a cultist. Last month, some strange women came to my house while my family was out and whisked me away to a retreat. Oh,

We were all fitted with headpieces. Throughout International Mafia Month, we spent many hours a day in a cold, empty, windowless room, playing mafia. We used the headpieces to communicate as scum--but sometimes, both within the games and outside of them, there was a familiar male voice in our heads as well. Those of us who died in the games were removed from the room and forced to watch from behind a soundproof, one-way mirror, each in our own separate booth. When we lost, we were beaten.

Throughout the compound were posters with Mith's many avatars--it was common knowledge that there were cameras behind them. Mizzy and I managed to blindfold the "There Is No Wine" in a corner and used that as a hiding place, but MeMe soon caught us and took us back.

Through some coincidence, Mizzy and I were scum together in every game we both played in for the next week after that. At first we pulled through, but then the other minions started to catch on. Then Mith started reminding us before the games that all role assignments were randomized--and something funny happened. Suddenly, it became possible for us to win again. Even I began to believe in this impossible coincidence.

Some of the games had themes, which we were expected to dress up and roleplay for. There was a Playboy Bunnies Mafia, a Naughty Nurses Mafia, and that Massage Parlor Mafia that Mith's been going on about, with all the roleblockers. Sometimes, winning sides were led off afterward for "special" rewards.

I'm only seventeen. I thought this was a joke, a way to annoy Glork without really annoying him. It wasn't supposed to infringe upon my innocence.

We were trained to fight and kill things--animals at first, starting with centipedes and working up to tigers. Then Mith brought me a human. I don't know who she was; she must have been from 2005 or earlier. He told her, "This is what we do to traitors!"

She never stood a chance.

Mith told us that we would be his elite forces, and at the same time he hammered our every failure into us. He reminded me of games I'd flaked in, but told me that in his new regime, I would personally be allowed to wipe the minds of those who remembered. He was designing amnesia pills just to help people like me, he said, but he could have my former mentor Ibaesha teach me

I still have the headpiece. I shouldn't have typed this. I'll be punished soon, and then I'll have to explain the new markings to Mom and Dad. But they'll never understand. I myself don't understand. Only Mith understa--

Parts of that headpiece are still attached to me. I couldn't get it all out.

I think the battery's dead, though. When mith vanished, there was a ringing that wouldn't stop, it didn't stop for years. I don't think I can hear it anymore.
