After my 3rd playthrough of the list I realized that I actually really liked Cote d'Ivoire and it shot up from 6. Originally had Germany in the top spot after the first playthrough, but then moved USA to the top on the second. Really close top songs for me.

You would chill out in between Natirasha and Dr Easy Bake. Asgardia is further from 10th place than eSwatini. Not only that, but you'd break the tie for fourth in Asgardia's favor, pushing it further away.

The fact that shifting points from someone with fewer points to someone with more points lowers my sheeple rating seems rather antithetical to the concept of a sheeple rating.

I am proud to represent the Sheeples!

Perhaps one day I will achieve a perfect Sheep, accounting for each song in its perfect spot! Alas it was not today. But one day, it will be achieved! And it will be me, Arisheeples, who ascends to sheep heaven a God among Sheep!

For the record, my first Song Contest was Song Contest 73. In that entire time, I have never once won a Song Contest.

Until now.

Thank you, everyone.

Also for the record the other song I was thinking of submitting from Promare was Inferno. I had the chance to go to a fan screening in February at my work, and it was genuinely one of the best theater experiences I've ever had. 90% of the people there had already seen the movie so the crowd was just so fucking hyped at all the right parts.

Everyone should watch Promare, its such a wonderful fucking movie in all the best ways. Even if you don't like anime usually, its one of those movies that just has something for everyone--its even kid-friendly!

Call me basic af, but I probably would have given this 1-3 more points. (Submitting to videos with lyrics in the video/description/comments helps a bundle in general, and would have assisted Kakusei.)

Basically, I came up with a measure of how closely a voter's ballot matches the the point distribution of the other voters together. With this it was easy to determine the minimum and maximum possible values of this measure given voting constraints and the other voters' point distribution. The percentage then reflects how far along the actual measure is towards being maximal.

The measure I used this time around was rather crude. There's a more complicated and mathematically correct way to do it, but that's for another time.

While I understand your concern, from the viewpoint of comparing to the final result, as opposed to comparing against all of the other sets of votes, voting someone 10th place who got 7th place is closer than voting someone 10th place who got 4th. ("

When you throw words like 'sheeple' and 'snowflake' around in regards to a rating/ranking, I expect it to be some sort of conformity rating.

Two questions:
If my 1 ends up winning, is that more or less sheeple(by your method) than if I didn't give points to the winner?
How do you take penalties into account?

Two questions:

Second part first:
*Question 1 - It is possible to construct scenarios where it could be more or less. If your 1-10 winds up being 2-11 in order, you can have an excellent score despite whiffing on first place.
*Question 2 - Penalties are reverted. I went back and forth about what the best way to handle this is and I don't think there's a "best" (the actual "best" is to break peoples' wrists if they don't vote). I acknowledge the method you are using would not have this problem as it does not consider the aggregated point outcomes.

W.R.T. the first part -
The tone you've been using combined with your perceived eagerness to dunk on me is giving off a strong asshole smell. This is something I'm doing for my own amusement, and I have no difficulty believing no one cares about this to nearly the extent that either of us do. With that in mind, I would pose three options: Work with me, take over what I'm doing, or kindly fuck off.
Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.

I'm sorry. Clearly I got a bot wrapped up in my shiny new rating system.

It is also clear we have differing philosophies on this If you want, I can PM you a detailed description of what I did for you to review.

I like that you both have systems and look forward to being 100% sheeple in both on them, even if not at the same time due to differing rating metrics :)
