Fen, I was diagnosed with pcos but after a few years on Metformin, I got told during my pregnancy that my cysts were going away!

Went to the nurse to be told off for not having a smear. She told me to have one then, scared me that the constant bleeding is something nelse and got me to see a Dr this week. Ugh. The mini pill uses to be Great for me - I could time to the hour when I'd start a period (third Friday morning of the month, basically.) I stopped for ages, then got really bad PMT and was going to meet klick, so went back on, and it's been horrendous ever since.

I’m mostly fine on birth control except it makes sex dull and flat. I still want it, but remain perpetually unfulfilled. Super annoying.

Also I seem to get more migraines on - known link, so not terribly surprising. I’ve had to start a new daily preventative because I’ve been consistently back on birth control. Ugh.

If you want another kids maybe you could try getting off contraception for a while and see if your body can regulate itself.

I plan to do that closer to when I’m ready to have children.

Right now would be a bad time for me and experience tells me we will neglect condoms and have another baby sooner than anticipated. Lol


@Fen: PCOS is absolutely treatable. Endometriosis too, surgically, but PCOS can be treated with metformin, spironolactone, etc. you should talk to a doctor about it!

I haven't paid attention to starting date, but when with others women, they definitively last longer.

It’s not debilitatingly bad, just on the edge of too much to be manageable.

I was being a goof in the first, yes, but the second is first-hand experience. I've lived with women a good solid majority of my life and I do firmly believe that one's lady happenings being more, uh, dominant than the others.

I assume it's the thing about menstrual cycles syncing up - the idea is that women living in close proximity will start their periods at around the same time.

I've never noticed it personally and last I heard it was a myth.
