(It could've been worse... I could make the decision process for voting a nominee much more complex....)

All of the HoH's declare an eviction target even if it doesn't matter, right? Who was the eviction target for round 1?

Edit: Also, do we get to see the evicted bot's programming?

:( Now I can't gleam any information from round 1 because you won't tell us the eviction target.....

I understand about the revealing the programming part though... (If and when my bot is evicted, you may show the programming just to show everyone the torture I forced you to go through )

Maybe since my bot doesn't really align itself with other bots, Showmance Bot will get outted!

Also, what is up with the Showmance Bot vetoing? They have been vetoed
3 times
(though once was was a veto as the winner of the veto.)

I hope TalyBot gets evicted.

Oh yeah, here was my bot:
Spoiler: Numbers Bot
Overview:

Name:
Numbers Bot
Stats:

Endurance: 40
Skill: 100
Memory: 150
Logic: 200
Speed: 65
Luck: 45
Dexterity: 50

Strategy:

[HOH]

Follow the instructions below in the given order. The list (as it is referred to) is first formed in step 1, and subsequent steps generally modify the list. Do not automatically eliminate any names from the list unless explicitly told to (or if due to faulty programming, the instructions would result in an invalid nominee in which case remove the invalid nominee and try the failed step again).

1. Order the bots in ascending order based on the bot's score as derived by the following criteria (proceed from 1a to the last one under here, and round each score at each step to the
nearest thousandth
):
1a. Each bot begins with a base score of 50 + 1.5 * Memory.
1b. Divide score by the (absolute value of (Skill - Endurance) + 1).
1c. Multiply by the sign (i.e.: positive/negative) of (Skill - Endurance) unless this result is zero; in this case, ignore this step.
1d. Subtract 25 points if the bot won HoH #1, HoH #6, or Veto #2. (Actually, subtract 25 points
for
each
one of the aforementioned competitions that the bot won.)
1e. Let a = 1, b = 2, c = 3, d = 4, e = 5, ..., z = 26 (hopefully you understand the pattern); add up the value of the bot's name based on the previous pattern (letter by letter) and subtract this value to the bot's score.
1f. Multiply by the length of the bot's name.
1g. Add 50 for each time the bot in question has vetoed this bot.
1h. Subtract 10 for each time the bot in question has nominated this bot for the eviction ceremony.
1i. Add 10 for each time the bot in question has voted for the opposite nominee whenever this bot was one of the nominees.
1j. Take the absolute value of the bot's current score and multiply by (10 / (# of times bot in question voted the opposite of the eviction target)).
1k. If the bot in question is this bot, set the score to zero.
1l. To break ties, do the following in order until the tie is resolved (the winner of the tiebreaker appears earlier in the list; repeat as necessary to break all ties):
1l i. Tie-breaker winner is the bot with the highest combined Endurance, Skill, and Memory Stat.
1l ii. Tie-breaker winner is the bot with the longest name.
1l iii. Tie-breaker winner is the bot with the name that comes last alphabetically.
2. Select the bot from the list (from step 1) that is in the nth position (in that list) where n represents the number of bots currently remaining. Nominate the selected bot.
3. Eliminate from the list the bot selected in #2 and any bots that has vetoed this bot
unless
the number of remaining bots is less than 7.
4. Eliminate from the list this bot.
5. Nominate the bot at the top of the list (as of this point).
6. If one of the nominees is vetoed, eliminate the previous nomination and the bot using the veto from the list.
7. Nominate the bot at the top of the list (as of this point).
8. The eviction target is the earliest bot nominated. (Example: If A is nominated at step 2 and B at step 5, but then someone vetoes the nomination of A so C is nominated instead at step 7, B becomes the eviction target. On the other hand, if A were not vetoed, A would be the eviction target.)

[Veto]

Proceed with the following directions sequentially.

1. If this bot possesses a VETO, and there are 4 OTHER bots left (i.e.: excluding this bot), automatically use the veto on the bot whose name comes first alphabetically.
2. Otherwise, if this bot is nominated, use the VETO on this bot.
3. Let a = 1, b = 2, c = 3, d = 4, e = 5, f = 6, ..., z = 26 (you get the pattern, right?). Group each nominee's name into groups of 3 letters (wrapping around if the final group has less than 3 lettes). (E.g.: If the bot's name is Numbers Bot, you would have NUM BER SBO TNU for the letter groups) Add up the value of the letters in each group (E.g.: 14 + 21 + 13 for the first group NUM) and then multiply the value of each group together. VETO the bot with the lowest score
if
that bot has a score greater than 20.
4. Otherwise, do not use the VETO.

[Voting]

Proceed with the following directions sequentially until a valid vote is cast.

1. Vote this bot if nominated and there are at least 7 other (i.e.: not including this bot) bots still in the game.
2. Vote for the other bot if this bot is nominated and #1 does not apply.
3. Vote for the bot that has received the least number of votes total in previous eviction ceremonies (across the whole game).
4. Vote for the bot whose name comes first alphabetically
if
it comes after this bot's name alphabetically.
5. Vote for the bot that is not the eviction target
if
that bot has a higher memory score than this bot.
6. Vote for the bot that is the eviction target.

[Jury]

Proceed with the following directions in order and keep a running tally (for each bot in the final 2) as instructed. Round this tally after each step to the
nearest thousandth
.

1. For each bot that has been evicted from this game, determine what their placing is. (You should already have this information compiled.) Now, each time one of the final two bots voted the bot that ended up being evicted in a given round, that bot scores (12 - Placing) points where placing is the finishing place of the bot that was evicted that round. (Eg: If bot C is evicted round 1 and bot A voted for bot C during the first eviction ceremony, bot A scores 12 - 11 = 1 point.)
2. Add a point for each time the bot won HOH.
3. Add 6/5 (i.e.: 1.2) points for each time the bot won VETO.
4. Add 8/5 points for each time the bot survived an eviction ceremony where they were nominated.
5. Subtract 3 points for each time the bot voted for this bot in an eviction ceremony.
6. Multiply by (Memory + 1).
7. Divide by the absolute value of the difference between this bot's combined skill and endurance stat and the final 2 bot's combined skill and endurance stat.
8. Add 20.
9. Multiply by the length of the bot's name.
10. Subtract 25.
11. Divide by the length of the bot's name.
12. Add 3 points for every N, U, M, B, E, R, or S in the bot's name.
13. Subtract 2 points for every B, O, or T in the bot's name. (Yes, B is found in both this list and the list in step 12. That is not a mistake on my part.)
14. Multiply the bot's score by 1.002 if the bot's name contains a character that is neither alphabetical nor a spacer (space, tab, newline, underscore, or hyphen).
15. Subtract the absolute value of the difference between this bot's combined skill and endurance stat and the final 2 bot's combined skill and endurance stat.
16. Add the length of the bot's name.
17. Vote for the bot that has the highest score.
18. If a tie-breaker is needed for the vote, vote for the bot that first meets the following criteria (while the other bot does not):
18a. VETO'd this bot at any time.
18b. Voted this bot's eviction target the most.
18c. Has the longest name that is not longer than this bot's name. (If longest name is longer than this bot's name, proceed to 18d.)
18d. Has the shortest name that is not shorter than this bot's name. (If the shortest name is shorter than this bot's name, proceed to 18e.)
18e. Let a = 1, b = 2, c = 3, d = 4, ..., z = 26. Add up the value of each bot's name. Vote the one with the lower score.
19e. Choose the bot whose name comes first alphabetically.

Hopefully, that is not too complex for you, although I do admit trying to make it very hard to predict this bot's decisions in advanced.

In post 0, Xalxe wrote:(Component II) Strategy: Each bot must come with a program that dictates what it will do at every decision point. Decision points are listed below to help you create your bot. You can develop an extremely simple program, or a more complicated program.
Although you may make a program as complex as you'd like, it must still be able to be understood and have a clear action.
Your bot has access to a lot of data to determine its vote (the list of Available Data is listed below). It is up to you to decide how to program your bot to best ensure its survival.
Oh come on... It was just a good amount of work, nothing too hard. I could have **easily** made it much harder for you.
