"What Would they Know?" is a trivia game, for 5 players, that consists of three rounds. It's not just about what you know, but what others don't.
- Round 1 consists of 5 questions
- All questions will have at least 6 correct answers
- Players will submit one answer each
- Players will score 3 points for a correct answer but only if they are the only player to submit that answer
- Round 2 consists of 10 questions
- The questions will be traditional trivia questions with only one correct answer
- Players will submit one answer each
- Players will score 5 points if they are the only player to answer correctly, 4 points if they are one of two players to answer correctly, 3 points if they are one of three players to answer correctly, 2 points if they are one of four players to answer correctly, and players will score 1 point each if they all answer correctly.
- Round 3 consists of just 1 question
- The question will be a traditional trivia question with only one correct answer
- Players will submit one answer each
- Players will see the beginnings of 3 different questions, the player leading at the end of round 2 will choose which question the players will answer.
- Players will then choose how many points they want to wager on answering the final question correctly. Players will double their wagered points if they answer correctly and lose their wagered points if they answer incorrectly.
- The question will then be revealed in full and players will submit their answer.
- Answers and wagers will be revealed and a winner will be crowned.
- Yes this is Final Jeopardy, don't @ me, Alex Trebek don't sue me.
- If there a tie after rounds 2 and/or 3, a tiebreaker question will be played between the leading players to determine either who chooses the question for round 3 or the overall winner
- Tiebreaker questions will have a numerical answer, the player closest will win the tiebreak, regardless of being over or under the correct answer
- If players tie on a tiebreaker, another will be played until a winner is determined.
- The winner of each game will gain an automatic place in the next game, if they choose to accept it
- Losing players will join the back of the queue for the following games, in their finishing order
- A leaderboard of wins and points will be maintained
- Players will have 24 hours to submit but I am happy to accommodate V/LAs if players let me know.
- Of course, no collusion between players and no looking up answers
