I could grab the next level of engines for 21 more than I have but if our next weapons upgrade lets us use better stuff we've already got I'd probably rather save for that
there's also a small (<10%) increase to scrap for 40 scrap which seems...either barely worth it or probably not worth it this late?
do we have the power for the anti-drone drone or would we need to upgrade the drone system some more too?

We have prob have enough to upgrade icon's "big boom" and get one more power if we can since I can throw $19 at him, let's either do that or just leave and wait for another shop

I don't know what missles/bombs we have - if they're good enough to take down the shields semi-permanently and then start hitting the weapons after without us taking too much damage while we get the shields down that might be a decent plan, esp. if hacking the weapons gets rid of one of the flak gun/double lazer on their side

Probably just send her to the door system to improve that at the start of fights and have her help everyone fight off boarders/repair systems mid-battle?

our next beacon is the endspot for the little server farm quest - if we're lucky part of the reward will be fuel (or it'll be one of those where there's a ship ambushing us that will hopefully drop one), if not the jump out of the system isn't too far away but there aren't any stores nearby.

The next obvious place to go is a beacon prob with an enemy dangerously close to a sun - we could head straight to the exit but since we just healed up at the server farm I'm planning on heading to it unless we can reach something else (probably not) or any of you think it's a bad idea - we might want to send the extra crew member to the shields to pre-emptively be ready to repair that for this next beacon though.

The last maybe useful place in the sector is a store next to the exit (this is the last reachable enemy in the sector) so I'm going to set my action to jump us out of here if/when FTL is charged and our doors are busted (unless the enemy ship is near death and we're still doing fine aside from that), or if our shields are down and we're about to get hit with a solar flare or whatever they're called
we may want to send one of icon/the worst over to distract elizabeth just long enough for her to not destroy the doors too (i need to charge ftl and we don't want varsoon the mantis accidentally murdering her instead of distracting her)

I can get a copilot station for pretty cheap (20 scrap) so in case my station gets knocked out temporarily elizabeth could pilot and keep dodging until I repair it, or just an engine upgrade
I am a very big fan of weapon upgrades tho so I'd prioritize that personally if ya'll are ok with that

I'm prob gonna spend most of my money on something to shield navigation controls - my only other option is upgrading engines like normal and I don't have quite enough for that

icon does your power thingy need power to fire everything at once or does it make the power to fire everything at once?
the worst i think give 5 scrap to varsoon for his power upgrade, and we can prob pool to him get the 2nd powah upgrade if we need it, otherwise I'll take some money for an engine upgrade I guess

If you can manage it maybe turn off the oxygen for 3 seconds whenever the missile barrage comes out to give me that sweet sweet engine power to dodge them better

yeah I can reinforce engine controls with 8 more scrap, but I don't think it's really necessary - sounds like it wouldn't use more power though if we don't have anything else we need.
It might be different with call's mods but from what I remember each phase of the flagship fight usually has a specialty now that we're past the first phase - we might want to hack that since their cloak is gone and we're going to be able to get a lot more shots off, but piloting so that all of our shots hit is still a very good option, esp. if we bomb shields again.
also, there aren't repairs or stores near us, so we're going straight into the 2nd flagship phase once we're done strategizing - the alternative is likely stumbling onto more rebels and taking some unnecessary damage accidentally while wandering around.

Are we at all low on fuel/drone parts btw? We can save one of each by just waiting here for the flagship to jump back, theoretically there could be a store closer to the flagship if we jump towards it but that would only matter if we got hit hard enough to need to run away, plus we'd still need to catch back up to it before it gets to high command.

so did we have a ship repair drone? we might want to use all but 2-3 parts repairing the ship here for the next attempt.
my opinion on things to change for next attempt: probably use the first hack on their mind control as soon as it's used, and make sure to keep weapons online at all costs (since I doubt we have the parts to repair up enough to have a chance with a 3rd attempt)

As far as I know (again it might be changed with mods and etc) hacking mind control still cancels the mind control and makes them wait the full cooldown to use it again (though the cooldown might not be that long if they have a very upgraded version)
If there's a long wait between when it starts and when we have a chance to hack it then yeah piloting is prob a better bet but we got pretty destroyed last time by being outnumbered by 2 more crew members than we would be with cancelling mind controls
