... I'd be very interested to see what you can do with just a singular voice on a song in the future since I know you have a lovely tone and quality to your voice. Maybe you will surprise me in a future round with that?
You know, I was gonna keep the harmony thing rolling but I guess I might think about it next r...
Mina has chosen Broadway, Round 2 begins now and you have your theme.
*looks at song I had already thought about singing before I even knew there was going to be a Broadway round*

I never did theater or drama in high school but I've always suspected I would have been really good at it. This round is giving me a chance to explore that and I'm loving it.

"Wow," you may be thinking. "I had no idea you were able to belt some of those ridiculous high notes." To which my response would be, "...no, I most certainly can't, but I wasn't going to let that stop me." This time instead of abusing my vocal cords, I think I'll abuse my lungs instead.
I finally checked to see what song you were referring to, and I want you to know I seriously considered Candy Store.

I’m working on writing up feedback for people but I got complained at last night for singing and waking up my bf D: so I’ll try to get to that later today
I personally don’t have issues with anything, but I can add a tag to the doc if you have concerns. I don’t believe music should be censored but I do believe in giving out warning tags if necessary.

I can consent to picking country.
Malkon, does this include country-adjacent genres like western swing or bluegrass? Basically I'm assuming that anything that would be performed at the Grand Ole Opry would qualify.
Also I just remembered Red Solo Cup is a thing and am now expecting 20 versions of it!
Red Solo Cup is awful. Toby Keith sings "You, sir, do not have a pair of testicles if you prefer drinking from glass." And yet in his hit song I Love This Bar, he clearly states that "And we like to drink our beer from a mason jar; mmmm I love this bar." Which is it, Toby?

As long as we're sharing non-submissions here's my first idea I had. I rejected it because I couldn't change the key in either direction without ruining it.

Counterpoint: Falsetto is
fun
.
By the way, did you know that it wasn't until the 1950s that people started to accept the premise that women could sing falsetto? Every time I remember that I still can't believe it.

What about a song that was written for a movie but then the studio decided they wanted a different artist to sing it instead and then that second artist released her recording a month before the movie came out and then the first artist who was supposed to be in the movie but wasn't released her version of the song the same day as the second artist?

The worst part of this contest is thinking "Oh I should have done THIS song in that previous round instead!" Yesterday while driving I had a strong urge to resubmit the Animation round with "Never Had A Friend Like Me".
