Build Phase 1
The first build is often a very important one, as it could shape your Village's direction for the rest of the game.
Everyone has two Build Actions, so it's an even playing field to start.
As before, we're starting with the village of
Riverton
.
Farren
, it's your turn. Choose up to 2 villagers from your hand to be placed in your Village. Remember to order them and exchange for Basic Villagers (3 max) if needed.
Also, if you finish the turn with no Food, your Founders will flip to provide Food.
No Unlockers yet, so any unlocking fees go to the Bank.
You have (expired on 2021-03-18 15:06:00) to submit your turn.

Farren
began by returning Villagers
1
and
5
, both to
Stack B
, to get a
Miner
and a
Lumberjack
.
Stack B gets 20% taller:
Next, he placed Villager 7, the
Blacksmith
, after the Miner.
The Blacksmith can unlock up to 10 villagers, and also gives the Village
2 Gold
.
Finally, he placed Villager 6, the
Cooper
, after the Lumberjack.
The Cooper is unlocked with the Blacksmith, and look who's waiting in his Village! The Blacksmith earns
2 coins
from the Bank.
The Cooper can unlock up to 6 villagers, and also gives the Village
4 Gold
.
At the end of the turn, the village of
Riverton
ended up with no Food, so its
Founders
switch from their
2 Gold
side to their
1 Food
side.
All in all, it gained 2 unlockers, 2 coins on one of them,
4 Gold
, and
1 Food
.
Let's take a look:
Second to start building comes to us from
San Felis
.
Felissan
, it's your turn. Choose up to 2 villagers from your hand to be placed in your Village. Remember to order them and exchange for Basic Villagers (3 max) if needed.

I'm fine with either, of course, so feel free to stick with what you prefer as long as it's clear.
Felissan
started by returning
Villager 4
to
Stack B
to get a
Lumberjack
.
Stack B gains another:
Then, she placed the
Carpenter
after the Lumberjack.
The Carpenter can unlock up to 8 villagers, and also gives the Village
1 Builder
.
Finally, she placed the
Shepherd
to start off the Wool chain.
The Shepherd gives
1 Food
to the Village.
At the end of the turn,
San Felis
gained 1 Unlocker,
1 Food
, and
1 Builder
.
Let's take a look:
For the next turn, it's off to the village of
thizh
.
tris

tris
started by returning Villagers
1
and
5
to
Stacks F and C
to get a
Miner
and a
Hayer
, respectively.
Two more returned:
Next, she placed Villager 2, the
Mason
, after the Miner.
The Mason gives
2 Gold
and
1 Builder
to the Village.
Lastly, she placed Thatris, the beloved
Thatcher
, after the Hayer.
Same as the Mason, the Thatcher also gives
2 Gold
and
1 Builder
to the Village.
At the end of the turn, the village of
thizh
ended up with no Food, so its
Founders

Mist7676
chose not to return anything since they're building only
Grains
this turn.
Their first build is Villager 1, the
Swineherd
, which gives the Village
2 Gold
and
1 Food
.
Their second build is Villager 7, the
Poulterer
.
The Poulterer is unlocked with a
Carpenter
, which currently only exists in
San Felis
, so
2 coins
from Mist's supply go to Felissan's Carpenter.
The Poulterer gives the Village
3 Gold
and
1 Food
.
Both builds deactivate the
Founders
, which is a
2 Gold
loss.
At the end of the turn,
Mystical Mystic
lost 2 coins to
San Felis
' Carpenter, but gained
3 Gold
and
2 Food
.
Let's take a look:
Finally, let's see how the village of
Wisteria
starts its building process.

Nancy has placed 2 villagers, but one of them needs a Basic Villager and she hasn't specified the villager from her hand to be returned, as well as the stack.
It's her first error, so the timer is amended to 24 hours from my notice to her done via PM.
She has (expired on 2021-03-23 15:18:00) to specify. Without specifying, the one that needs a Basic Villager will not be placed, following this rule:
If you're missing parts of the chain before your villager (this includes forgetting to claim Basic Villagers), that villager will not be played.
Additionally, she has specified that her V/LA would last for 3 weeks. I've noted this duration from the start of her prod on the first post.
Players, thank you for your patience. We're approaching the end of the Phase.

We've had a discussion over the PMs and she has the correct order of words there. Note that returning villagers should be referred to by number.
Nancy Drew 39 wrote:Choose stack A. Discard [villager 4] to get Hayer. Place Wattler and Thatcher.
That's a valid turn! Resolving now.
Nancy Drew 39
started by returning
Villager 4
to Stack A for a
Hayer
.
Stack A doubles in size:
Next, she placed the
Wattler
, which gives the Village
1 Builder
.
To cap it off, she placed the
Thatcher
after the Hayer.
The Thatcher gives the Village
2 Gold
as well as
1 Builder
.
At the end of the turn, the village of
Wisteria
has no Food, so her
Founders
switch from their
2 Gold
side to their
1 Food
side.
All in all, the Village gained
1 Food
and
2 Builders
.
Let's take a look:
That's the end of Build Phase 1
. First round down! Stack B is towering above the rest, will it be enough to push the First Market back? Before we find out, here's another look at the Unlockers:

Felissan
started by placing two
Hunters
.
Each Hunter counts as one Unlocker, while also giving the Village
1 Food
.
She wraps up her move by placing the
Priest
.
The Priest is unlocked with a
Chandler
, but it is nowhere to be found. Felissan therefore pays
2 coins
to the Bank.
The Priest scores 3 Silver for every 2 Solitary symbols. She's built her first 3, which so far gives 3 Silver.
That's the end of the turn, and
San Felis
lost 2 coins but gained 2 Unlockers,
2 Food

tris
started by placing the
Harvester
.
The Harvester can unlock up to 2 villagers, while also giving the Village
1 Food
.
Second, she placed the
Grazier
on the
Hayer
's available slot.
The Grazier gives the Village
another Food
.
Next, she returned
Villager 2
to Stack F for a second Hayer.
The stack grows a tiny bit:
Afterwards, she placed the
Horse Trader
after the new Hayer.
The Horse Trader scores 3 Silver for every 2 Hay symbols. She'll end her turn with 6, translating to at least 9 Silver.
Finally, she placed the
Peddler
right next door.
The Peddler is unlocked with the Cartwright, but with none present so far, tris instead pays her
2 coins
to the Bank.
The Peddler scores 3 Silver for every 2 Gold text. With a modest start of 2, that's already 3 Silver and possibly more next time.
That's the end of the turn, and the village of
thizh
lost 2 coins but gained 1 Unlocker,
2 Food

Thanks for your concern, Nancy, but it seems like no extension is necessary because Mist has submitted. Thank you for being timely, Mist!
Mist7676
started by returning
Villager 6
to Stack F for a
Lumberjack
.
The stack grows a tiny bit more:
Next, they placed Villager 8, the
Tanner
.
The Tanner gives the Village
2 Gold
.
Finally, they placed Villager 9, the
Wheeler
, after the new Lumberjack.
The Wheeler gives slightly more,
3 Gold
to the Village.
That's the end of the turn, and
Mystical Mystic
gained a total of
5 Gold
.
Let's take a look:
Next, the village of

Nancy has not submitted a turn in time, so her turn will be automatically played. She will not be replaced due to her still being in V/LA for the next 3 days. She'll play 4 villagers.
Spoiler: Determining which villagers to play
The first priority
goes to villagers that can continue or complete a chain. 3 villagers in her hand fit this priority, all of which go directly after a Basic Villager. The ordering will be determined by going down the list. These would originally be done in three loops to determine the first 3, but since they all go directly after a Basic Villager, it's the same effect as looping once and picking the order for the 3 filtered ones.
None of the three can start a chain, since the Basic Villagers would do that for them.
None of the three have Food.
None of the three have Builders.
The fifth priority ranks the villagers in decreasing amounts of Gold.
Villager 1 has no Gold.
Villager 3 has 4 Gold.
Villager 6 has 4 Gold as well.
That means Villagers 3 and 6 will be first, followed by Villager 1.
The final priority ranks the villagers in decreasing amounts of Silver.
Being Gold villagers, Villagers 3 and 6 do not have Silver.
Since we've run out of priorities for these 2, they will be played in number order. The ordering so far goes 3-6-1, with one left to place.
We find that no other villagers fit the first priority, so we go down to the second.
The second priority
goes to villagers that can start a chain. For the purposes of this rule, Solitary villagers are considered part of this section. Another 3 villagers apply. Picking the final one requires going down the list once again.
None of the three have Food.
None of the three have Builders.
None of the three have Gold.
The final priority ranks the villagers in decreasing amounts of Silver.
Out of the three, the villager with the highest Silver score is Villager 7, with 3 Silver.
The order is determined to be 3-6-1-7.
Playing #3 and #1 requires returning 2 villagers to the left most stack for a Lumberjack and a Hayer, respectively. These are pulled in numerical order, so Villagers 2 and 4 will be returned first.
The turn began with Villagers
2
and
4
being returned to Stack B for a
Lumberjack
and a
Hayer
, respectively.
Delaying the inevitable:
First to be placed is Villager 3, the
Cooper
, going after the Lumberjack.
The Cooper is unlocked with a
Blacksmith
, currently only available in the village of
Riverton
, causing a payment of
2 coins
to occur towards Farren's Blacksmith.
The Cooper can unlock up to 6 villagers, while giving the Village
4 Gold
.
Second to be placed is Villager 6, the
Bed Builder
, going after the existing Hayer.
The Bed Builder is unlocked with a
Carpenter
, which can only be found in
San Felis
. Another
2 coins
go out, this time towards Felissan's Carpenter.
The Bed Builder gives the same amount of
4 Gold
to the Village.
Next to be placed is Villager 1, the
Horse Trader
, going after the new Hayer.
The Horse Trader scores 3 Silver for every 2 Hay symbols. The Village has 5, good for at least 6 Silver.
Last to be placed is Villager 7, the
Priest
.
The Priest is unlocked with a
Chandler
. This time around, there are no Chandlers anywhere, so the
2 coins
went to the Bank.
The Priest scores 3 Silver for every 2 Solitary symbols. With a total of 2, that translates to 3 Silver, which can grow over time.
That's the end of the turn, and the village of
Wisteria
lost 6 coins but gained
8 Gold
and some Silver. Of the 6 coins, 2 go to
Riverton
's Blacksmith, and 2 go to
San Felis
' Carpenter.
Let's take a look:
Finally, we'll go to the village of

First, I'm sorry to hear about your issues and hope you'll be able to resolve them.
Unfortunately, I don't think I can grant you the V/LA as-is, because that would push your total time of limited access to 6 weeks, and I find a V/LA period that covers the majority of the game's length to be too long.
I've sent a PM to you regarding your V/LA. Everyone, please hold while we resolve this situation.

Nancy has offered a compromise to have only her Build Phase timers be extended, so I'll go ahead and grant that. One extra day for Build Phases, with Draft Phases still under the normal deadline. However, this will not count as V/LA, so it's possible for her to be replaced if she doesn't submit a turn in 4 days.
Let's move on with the game. I'll add 12 hours to the deadline for her to catch up.
