I’m a little weirded out by people asking to go on a mission this early but /shrug maybe my college meta was weird

I mean in theory everyone would want to be on every mission.

It’s very much possible that my college situation was weird - we played with slightly different rules that were simpler but definitely more breakable, so our meta was a lot more willing to have missions fail to get more information than ours probably should be.

We weren’t able to get together in NYC this weekend, why would we get together in Mission #1 instead?

Yeah that'd make sense to me as well. Obviously not impossible that Mist or Charles hid but that's a problem for if this next one fails.

Are you even allowed to propose a mission that doesn’t include yourself? I can’t imagine ever doing so but when I’ve played Avalon I think we strictly didn’t allow it. (Though we played with different rules where most of the time doing so would explicitly be a gamethrow.)

what im scared of is tbone + std + an operative going in and mission failing so the operative is initially blamed when tbone or std is the real spy

I think as long as we’re all considering this beforehand that’s fine. Spies are pretty incentivized to hide on the two-person mission I think.

I mean, if I was one of the other two and I was a spy I probably would’ve hid on the first mission. So we can’t only be suspicious of mist here, but that’s not to say we shouldn’t be at all.

Remember that all remaining missions after this one are 4 people, so we couldn’t pull that rotation thing off even if we wanted to

After this mission not naming yourself is throwing for that reason. Now it just says that you have the scumteam 100% sorted out, which is weird but I guess not completely false.

Keeping mist off this mission seems like a good idea, but I’m not 100% sold that their mistake is actually a scumslip.

I mean, so what's your plan? Just have the game stall out? If you have no particular displeasure with my proposal but are going to vote against it anyway, what exactly is going to change between now and tomorrow, when it will be a different proposal you probably won't feel anything about, only you will need to vote for it or we lose.

Yeah, but after that we’d have one shot to get the entire town to agree on who the entire town is. So getting this one right seems really important.
