JFC. Because I'm busy/lazy, somebody summarize this for me. I had no idea it generated a 5+ page sh!tstorm...

izak, why did you make a sudden and unilateral decision on this? Did you seek guidance on the problem before today?

How many threads are we talking about here? 10 now, 27 tomorrow? I don't think it's necessary to cart games off of the forum to proboards or whatever, but it's also reasonable to expect that Mish-Mash be somewhat navigable. We split Chess off for way less than 27 threads, I think.

Summarize for us Skittles that don't live in here, folks.

Is there a situation in which people can see a non-RPG breaking the
n

It makes a difference on what we define the subforum as. Is it for RPGs, or is it for Overflow?

I really don't. But I want to know what Mishmashers think we'd be getting ourselves into here.

I don't think the decision is at all unreasonable, and I made sure it didn't interrupt anything that couldn't easily adapt to it.
That's not really what I meant. Did you have any PUBLIC discussion before coming to a new rule? One-way conversations between disgruntled folks and you is a start, but not an end.

Okay, an Auxiliary Mish-Mash subforum has been created - it should have the same permissions as the main forum.
This subforum is for additional threads for
ongoing
Mish Mash games. If a game has more than three active threads at once, all but the first one should be moved/made in this forum.
izak, if you or the group come up with a better name or description, just let me know.
In particular I think you guys should come to some consensus about the number of threads allowed in the main MM forum per game, and what happens when they overflow.
The way I've written it now is how I understand izak's edict, but that doesn't have to be the final word if you come up with something better.

I'd prefer Total Perspective Vortex, for the 'overflow' connotations.

Considering there is a stalled Pathfinder game in "signups" and a slow-moving 5e game ongoing, probably not. 3.5 does not lend itself well to our slow rate of play.

STAHP.

Also, now that the Auxillary is renamed, the Archive looks out of place and needs branding.

I'm leaning toward either
The Sens-O-Tape Archive
or
Somebody Else's Problem Field
.

I think Chess will be overkill.

I'm partial to Sens-O-Tape myself. Let's let it sit for a few
months
