The classic letters and numbers game. Consists of:
- 4 Letters Rounds
- 1 Numbers Round
- 4 Letters Rounds
- 1 Numbers Round
- 3 Letters Rounds
- 1 Numbers Round
- 1 Countdown Conundrum
Players choose 9 letters, by deciding whether they would like a consonant or vowel. Once 9 letters are chosen, the timer starts. Players must PM the longest word that they can create by re-arranging the letters before the time runs out. When the time runs out, the player with the longer word wins 1 point per letter used, excepting 9 letter words, which are worth 18 points.
Two groups of numbers are used:
4 large numbers:
25
50
75
100
20 small numbers:
2 of each of the numbers 1-10
Players choose six numbers, by specifying how many from each group they would like. Players use the 6 numbers to create a randomly determined 3 digit number. Players can only use addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and can only use whole numbers (ie. no divisions which provide decimal answers). Players must PM the working out that they have used to get as close to the target as possible, before time runs out. Whichever player is closest gains points depending on how close they were:
- 10 points for getting the target exactly
- 7 points for getting within 5 of the target
- 5 points for getting within 10 of the target.
A nine-lettered anagram is revealed. Players must guess what the word is, in thread, but are only allowed one guess. If a player gets the word correct, they are awarded 10 points.
This game will be time based, and split across 3 sessions:
Session 1: 4 Letters and 1 Numbers round
Session 2: 4 Letters and 1 Numbers round
Session 3: 3 Letters, 1 Numbers, and the Countdown Conundrum.
The game will be incredibly quick moving, as each round has a strict 1 minute timer, and you'll probably need a window/tab open with a PM ready to edit and send.
