Welcome to . . .

Many of you may be familiar with this game as this is the 5th time it's being run. And I am proud to say that my previous version was the longest running INVE$TMENT$ game to date. Hopefully this one can beat that record. The premise of the game is simple, you are an investor given some virtual dollars and use those dollars to buy virtual stocks which fluctuate about once a day in an attempt to make as much money as possible. In addition to that you can participate in various exciting events from time to time. I will be in charge of the government, the businesses that are selling stocks, and pretty much anything that isn't player controlled. To join just start buying stocks, you have $750.

RULE$:

Atm I only have this one rule, but I may add others later.

1. If you do not do anything for 10 game days (days in which I post an update), all Normal stocks you have will be liquidated for their current cash value and you will be added to the list of inactive players. Once on the inactive players list, you may rejoin the game at any time by purchasing stocks.

The game is back!!!

So if you played in my original game, you should be listed under the inactive players tab with however much money you earned. That money transfers over to this game. Or if you played in Maestro's game, but not mine, you can get a $250 credit and start with $1000, just let me know when you join. Last and least, you can just start with $750.

I'll try to post updates once a day as much as possible. Then I'll probably do a lot of special events in the first week or so of this game, since it's spring break and I'll have a fair amount of free time. After that I'll probably aim to do about 2-3 a week.

No, the board was fired for corruption and embezzlement following an IRS audit. It may still pay out dividends, but it does not follow the old rules the board had in place. It's similar, but I tweaked it some.

Firstly, the OP has been updated, if I messed up lemme know. Also, I've add new classifications and descriptions for the stocks to give a slightly better idea of what they are.

stock from the market has left an vacancy in the market that many companies are rushing to fill.

A poll is being held to determine which type of special stock will be added to the game:

1. Player-owned stock

This stock would be owned by a board of directors consisting of elected players who could vote to customize the stock as seen fit. The Orange stock from my previous game would be an example of this.

2. Real-world event stock

This stock would be fluctuate based on real-world events associated with the stock. The Seahawks stock was an example of this.

3. Special stock

This stock would use a unique system when going up and down and/or have an increased chance to go up. Gray and Teal are examples of this.

Each player gets one vote. You may not change your vote. If you correctly vote for the option that wins, you will receive one share of the new stock.

Yeah, you can just treat it like a free $100 if you want. It's going to be like any other stock in that you'll be able to purchase and sell it at will, provided there is enough available.

I think so? My estimates had the stock going bankrupt 32 days after release, it's a small sample, but it's currently on pace to hit $0 in 10 days. I did not realize how bad the approval ratings really were right now.

It started at $10. so I suppose $10 times the number of shares there were, which is information that's been taken down so I can't tell. Though that's also including the behalf of people who haven't necessarily agreed to be involved. I don't actually know how that works in real life!

The stock ended with 1,000 shares. It started with 1,500 shares. So ten or fifteen thousand dollars? Assuming you sue for that amount, you'll also have to pay $100 in court fees.

The stock descriptions are pretty accurate. The stock fluctuations are determined by dice formulas and are all independent of each other. So the recession the market is going through is just a combination of a lot of stocks getting bad rolls right now.

Pyramid BYou talk to one of the workers and obtain a rope. You ask and glance around for a ten foot pole, but are unable to find one. The best thing you can come up with that'll meet your needs is a wooden staff that's about 5 feet long.

Pyramid BYou head down the center path which opens into a very large cavern. You're currently about 10 feet above the ground floor, there's rocky staircase right in front of you leading down to the ground floor. The walls are slanting in and go up all the way to about 20 feet above you. Judging by the condition of things, it looks like you're the first person to set foot in here in ages. There are various artifacts littered all around the floor. You hear some people coming into the pyramid behind you.

Pyramid BYou check out the nearest truck. You find a lighter in the front which can be used for starting a fire and you're also able to locate a crowbar and some rope. You don't see anything useful to light on fire, unless you feel like playing with gasoline that is.

Pyramid BYou begin gathering up whatever you can find that meets your criteria. You get some old looking parchment papers, a few pieces of pottery and a couple of other things that look old. You also opt for some of the shinier objects as well, a golden goblet, a few pieces of gold lying on the floor, and a couple of small shiny urns. After gathering all of this up you start heading for the exit.
