Let's do the one we both have a clue on and say that

enzymes

are proteins that catalyze biochemical reactions. I don't think it's the most obscure, but I do think Xalxe has the wrong naming scheme for the alkanes

I also thought of electrolysis for the first one and entropy for the fourth one, with me being more confident about the former than the latter, but I don't have the courage to risk either.
