C?

It's almost certainly A, and it definitely isn't B or D. I'm hoping that "Sol" is misleadingly NOT the sun god.
Who said that?
Chamber. It's all a conspiracy.

Wait no it's probably C, I feel like the roman sun god would be famous, and I have never heard of the god "Sol".
(Also isn't it Saturn?)
("Vulcan" could be forges, idk, I know he's something to do with fire, so it could be not-A)

That is correct :D

Apollo doesn't actually have a straightforward Roman equivalent. If he's given a different name, it's usually Phoebus.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I kinda thought it was Saturn, but I wasn't sure, and I had no clue who it would be if it wasn't Saturn, whereas I was sure of Athena/Minerva, Poseidon/Neptune, Zeus/Jupiter, Ares/Mars, and Hades/Pluto. (I wasn't sure of Hephaestus/Vulcan, but they're relatively minor so eh). And as I said, it seems like the sun god should be pretty famous (Like Apollo is). (Also Saturn was mostly process of elimination. I knew/had some idea of the other planets/ex-planets, but didn't know Saturn. Also, Saturn is yellow. If we're being honest that was the main reason I thought it was Saturn.)
Speaking of the planets and their namesakes:
Most of the planets/dwarf planets were named after Roman deities. But not all. Which of the following planets/dwarf planets was named after a Greek deity?

A) Ceres
B) Uranus
C) Saturn
D) None of the above, every planet/dwarf planet was named after a Roman deity.
Who said that?
Chamber. It's all a conspiracy.

Wrong.

Eris, the dwarf planet which killed Pluto, was Greek. But that wasn't an option. Also I'm too lazy to do more research but one of the other dwarf planets could be Greek. Or not greek/roman.

StrangerCoug wrote:A?

Incorrect.
I thought Ceres was Greek too, but nope, Ceres is Roman. Demeter is the Greek equivalent.
(In case you did not know what Ceres is, Ceres is a dwarf planet, in the asteroid belt, was a planet but then got demoted when they discovered the asteroid belt. Basically the same as Pluto but like 300 years earlier or so. Much better than Pluto)
Haschel Cedricson wrote:B. He was the father of Kronos if I remember correctly.

Correct. On both.

Saturn is the Roman god of agriculture. Ceres is the Roman goddess of agriculture. Apparently there are two.

Has anybody else been having trouble with Netflix lately? For some reason, while the videos are streaming fine on my computer, the audio is completely missing, and it's completely ruining my ability to binge-watch the entirety of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The show may as well be called Star Trek: The Silent Generation. Which of the following plotlines would be most appropriate for an episode of such a show?

A) Dr. Crusher serves a tour of duty driving an ambulance in World War I, expatriates to Risa in disillusionment afterwards.
B) Worf storms the beach at Normandy to drive the Nazis and their Romulan allies back to Berlin.
C) During the Korean War, Riker's shuttlecraft is shot down over the Sea of Japan.
D) Counsilor Troi encourages Geordi and Data to work out their feelings of confinement and social alienation by starting a grunge band.

Korean war was the forgotten/silent war iirc, because it was in between WWII (Very popular) and Vietnam (Very unpopular).

Correct, although the name also refers to how that generation grew up relatively disadvantaged by the poverty of the Great Depression and then came of age at a time when McCarthyism discouraged many of them from getting involved in countercultural movements.

Other options were the Lost Generation, Greatest Generation, and Generation X, respectively.

Sorry for letting this die.
A while ago I asked a question on the planets/dwarf planets and their namesakes. It's time for another.

Which of the following was named after an Inuit deity?

A) Sedna, that thing which is really far away, like, really really far away.
B) Makemake, the largest currently known Kuiper Belt Object which is not in an orbital resonance with Neptune.
C) Haumea, the KBO which is probably weirdly egg-shaped.
D) Quaoar, yet another random Kuiper Belt Object.
Who said that?
Chamber. It's all a conspiracy.

D?
When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! 'I don’t want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these?' Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give you lemons!
