Probably best explained by example:

1) It's a donkey.
2) That's not a donkey! It's a pack mule!
3) That's not a pack mule! It's a backpack!
4) That's not a backpack! It's a cape!
5) That's not a cape! It's a blanket!

I'l start with the blanket.
