This is run very similarly to the 2003 version of the Australian TV show, which is different from how previous Wheel games have been run here, so make sure you are familiar with the changes. Oz Wheel of Fortune is based on StrangerCoug's Wheel of Fortune and New Zealand Wheel of Fortune and uses a similar format (with their permission). However, there are some major changes, so please read everything carefully.
The champion has the first choice of colour (the first person in the queue if there is no champion). The next person in the queue has second choice of colour, and the person after that has the third choice of colour. You can have any colour, provided that 1) it is not already taken and 2) it is not white, black or grey. Some suggestions are red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. I am always happy to make a test image if you want to see how something looks before deciding.
For every puzzle, I will choose a word or phrase and give you the category. Every letter in that word or phrase will be represented with a blank white square, except punctuation is revealed immediately.
The player who wins the draw backstage, who is sitting in the leftmost position, goes first. They will throw a

This will constitute a spin of the Wheel. What happens next depends on the result of the spin:
- Point figure: The player will select a consonant, including Y. If it exists in the puzzle, I will reveal all instances of that letter and credit the player with the amount spun. If the consonant does not appear, play passes to the next player. The top value in Round 1 is 750 points. This is not multiplied for each occurrence. If one of the letters turns up red, double the value spun is awarded for that consonant.
- Free Spin: The player will gain a free spin token. That token can be spent at any time you would otherwise lose your turn to give you another turn. You gain the Free Spin token even if you do not correctly guess a consonant.
- Lose a Turn: Play passes to the next player.
- Bankrupt: The player loses all money that is not safe due to solving a puzzle, and his or her turn.

If at any time during their turns players believe they know the answer, they may solve instead of spinning or buying. The solution, which must be in bold and preferably in caps, must be exactly as I have it (including punctuation, if there is any) with no misspellings or any words added or deleted. (Exception: In the rare event that a puzzle contains an accent mark, the accent mark is not required for a correct solve, but it counts against you if the accent mark is incorrect or you place an accent on a letter that has none. For example, if the category is
*It is an appreciated courtesy to state which of the three actions you're doing before you do it.
Round 2 is the Mystery Round, started by the player to the right of the player who solved Round 1. The top value will be increased to 1500 points and two Mystery Wedges ("? 500") will be added to the wheel. If a player lands on one of them, then after choosing a correct consonant, the player may choose to take 500 points or turn over the wedge to reveal either 2500 points or Bankrupt. If one wedge is turned over, both are removed from the wheel and play continues as normal.
Round 3 is the Jackpot Round, started by the player to the right of the player who solved Round 2. A second Bankrupt and a Jackpot wedge will be added to the Wheel. The Jackpot starts at $500 and is increased by the non-modified value every spin, regardless of outcome. If a player lands on the Jackpot wedge and calls a correct consonant, they can then immediately solve the puzzle. If they do, the value of the Jackpot is added to their banked total. If they decline to do so, their spin is worth $200.
Round 4, started by the player to the right of the player who solved Round 3, sees the top value increased again to 2500 points. A second Lose a Turn space is added to the Wheel.
You will spin the Golden Wheel to determine your Major Prize Round prize (1d96 as before). Whatever you get is publicly known. The top prize in the Major Prize Round is

The possible categories of puzzles are as follows, plus pluralisations of the following. Categories may be added to this list in the future.
- PERSON
- PLACE - A place, real or fictional, though not a specific geographical location.
- MAP - A geographical location.
- THING - A thing, though not a living organism.
- LIVING THING - A living organism, animal or plant.
- EVENT
- PHRASE
- BUILDING
- QUOTATION
- BEFORE AND AFTER - Two clues that have a word in common. For example, "George Bush Baby". George Bush is a person, and a bush baby is a primate.
- STAR AND ROLE - A star and a role they starred in.
- ARTIST AND SONG - A recording artist and one of their songs.
- WHERE ARE WE? - Clues representing a place. The player who solves the puzzle gains the right to guess the place for an additional 200 points.
- TRUE OR FALSE? - A puzzle with a true or false answer. The player who solves the puzzle gains the right to solve the question for an additional 200 points.
- BLANK - Clues with a common first word, represented by a "?". For example, "? Cell / ? Bank". The answer would be "Blood", as it fits in both blanks. The player who solves the puzzle gains the right to guess the common word for an additional 200 points.
- CLUE - A puzzle representing a question. The player who solves the puzzle gains the right to solve the question for an additional 200 points.
- If you go 48 hours without an action, I will prod you. If you do not respond to the prod within 24 hours, you lose your turn and get a strike. Two strikes and you're out of the round; three strikes and you're out of the game (the game continues without you—I will not replace players mid-match). If two drop out of the round, the remaining player wins the round and any accumulated cash by default, and may choose to immediately solve the puzzle for an additional $1,000. If two players drop out of the game altogether, the previous applies; further, the remaining player wins the game by default, collects the other players' winnings and goes straight to the Major Prize round, earning a flat 2000 points per puzzle they did not see.
- Please do not edit your posts. I must rule all edited guesses as incorrect and assume that any edited spin was originally one that was going to land on Bankrupt. Caught edits also result in a strike.
- Below the board are the letters that have not been picked yet. Please pay attention to this as if you guess a letter guessed already, you lose your turn. (Exceptions:I will tell you if there are no more consonants or no more vowels, but forgetting this incurs no penalty, even if it would if there were that type of letter left. Also, if you call a letter which has already guessed and which does not appear in the puzzle, you will be allowed another guess if I originally forgot to delete the letter in question from the used letter board.)
- If you guess a vowel on any wheel spin or try to buy a consonant, you lose your turn (and 50 points if you do the latter).
- Bear in mind that this game game is set in Australia and therefore uses British English spelling (e.g. colour, not color) in most cases. This can be especially important when solving. Most "Phrase" puzzles are also given in the infinitive, for example "To solve a puzzle".
- Spectators are welcome (and encouraged) to converse with the host privately if they think they know the answer to a puzzle.
