Any interest in an Amazing Race like game that focuses more on flight searching than challenges? No social aspect - just plan smart racing. I ran it once in this forum but it was mired in inactivity, but it did finish. If interest is there, I could re-run it.

If anyone is interested, I'm going to be hosting a Diplomacy game. If you want to know how to play, http://www.backstabbr.com/rules is the simple version. Communicate and strategise for victory!

I think I'm ready to make this public now.

Last week I put in for my retirement from Mish Mash Janitor for reasons related to stress at school. Most of that stress has subsided, but I still want to be responsible for one less thing. PM me if you're interested in taking over my spot and I'll relay it to the appropriate people.

Thank you, but I actually don't want it. I'm more than content handling the Large Social games and all of the stuff with that. But I really think that one person shouldn't be doing both jobs. I do however, want whoever replaces SC to be someone willing to work with me on making it so both of our jobs run smoothly and nicely.

Hey all! I'm here to gauge interest in a Diplomacy variant I could run. (Which coincidentally happens to be my all time favorite game) It's classic chaos which means it's 34 players and everyone starts with one center. It's a game of political intrigue! Negotiation, Strategy, and Tactics are all important!
The rules are really simple, and the only difference from other diplomacy games run here (other than number of players) is that all press will be
public press only
.
(It makes it a lot more fun, and makes it a fairly low time-consuming game.)

For those who never played diplomacy before, the rules summarized are:
- You get as many armies/fleets as supply centers you own. (supply centers being the dots)
- Armies and fleets can move or hold where they are.
- They can also support the movements or holdings of neighboring countries.
- In order to overpower a place, you need more support than the opponent.
- (And Fleets can convoy armies across the sea)
- Trust no one; they could be lying to you.
Full rules here: http://www.backstabbr.com/rules
Game ends when one player has 18 centers, or when all remaining players want to draw the game together.

The main roadblock to this is getting 34 players, so I want to see how many would be interested (Are there even 34 mish-mash players here). With it being public press, it doesn't take long to organize with whichever alliance group you're in each turn. (If you can get part of a group ;) ) The elimination rate is very high until the midgame so there's a good chance you'll be out in a week anyway. If you like playing survivor games, you'll like this game too.
Here's an example of a previous game.

Go ahead and advertise it in the Queue thread too. It's not something that is subject to the queue, but some people watch that place and not this one. And seems like the type of people you're trying to find. There are certainly 34 or more Mish Mash players, you just gotta reach all the ones who would play this ;)

Hey, I kind of jumped the gun and created a thread for a game before noticing this thread. The game is called Behind the Masks, and it was created in the Mish Mash equivalent on another Mafia Forum where I started out. The rules are lengthy, so I'll just link the thread here:

http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=64243

The game shares similar roles and styles of flavor with Mafia, but the mechanics are very different. I can add or remove roles depending on how many players are signed up. I'd appreciate a green light, and any feedback you might have. Thanks!

P-Edit: If anyone wants to comod this with me, particularly someone who is good at writing flavor, lemme know.
