Lizardmen Politics

Lizardmen

have invaded the political scene for your country! The only way they can be stopped is if all the true

Human

politicians can identify each other!

How to Play

At the start of the game, 3 players will be told they are human and 5 will be told they are lizardmen and informed of their lizard buddies. The game revolves around two phases:

Election Phase

The game begins in this phase. A player is elected via the majority. The elected player gets to publicly select a player. The selected player has his alignment publicly revealed.

If on the first day, the elected player reveals someone human, the humans automatically win.

Any ties will be settled by a randomly selected lizardmen player.

72 hour deadline.

Identify Phase

During this phase, the humans privately submit who they believe the other two humans to be. If the humans all choose each other correctly, they win.

If after the third Identify stage the humans have not all selected each other in the same night, Lizardmen win.

48 hour deadline.

If a human is revealed during the second or third election phase, that player is told who everyone targets during the identify stage. (Meaning Lizardmen must submit selections)

You may not speak with your partners privately.

I tested this face to face and have added a part:

Can the humans win if Adam identifies Brett who identifies Charlie who IDs Adam? Or do the humans guess two players and both have to match?

Adam has to identify both Brett and Charlie
Brett has to identify both Adam and Charlie
Charlie has to identify both Adam and Brett

IDs do not get confirmed as right or wrong.

In face to face playtesting humans lost both, but I blame lack of skill (One game, a player was so adamant I was a Lizard I had to get myself revealed last day to prove I wasn't. Me and our other Human chose all correctly, but the player who was adamant I was a Lizard chose some random guy who was obviously a lizard.)

Once game starts, hold any balance discussion till the end.

How does the election phase work? Is there a deadline where the votes are tallied and the majority/plurality vote is elected? Or is there a voting system like mafia, where as soon as 5 votes are reached, that person is elected? (I'm assuming it's the latter, but just to make sure.)
