Although not as exciting as the bird gif, SOLVENT is a valid 7 letter word, meaning doctorwho gets 7 points and breaks the tie for the first time in this game! There is still plenty of countdown to be played, so it's still anyone's game!
I couldn't find anything better than a 7 with my supercheaty anagramsolver deluxe. The least obscure of them was Solvent. An etalon is apparently a device used in physics, plural would be ETALONS. Although Levant is a proper noun, LEVANTS is actually a verb in my dictionary to evade a debt. Although it is in my dictionary it does mention that it is a British slang term, so I don't know how common it is.
Blackberry, it's your turn to pick the letters for the next Letters Game!

It's time for more results! Both players submitted a six letter word! But are they valid?
Spoiler: doctorwho's word
WHEELS!
Spoiler: Blackberry's word
WHEELS!
Spoiler: Result
Once again both players submitted the same word! Both players earn 6 points! Could they have done better? There was a 9 letter word in there, WELLHOUSE. Although some spellings of it include a space, some do not, and I would have accepted it. Thanks to Diginova for pointing that one out!
It's doctorwho's turn to pick letters for another Letters game!

This concludes Match 2. doctorwho as point leader going into the 3rd and final match, you may elect to either pick first or allow Blackberry to pick. As a reminder (and to be clear), match 3 is designed so that the first and third games are Letters games, while the 2nd and 4th are numbers games, essentially meaning you get to decide whether you want to pick letters or numbers for the remainder of the game, while Blackberry will pick for whatever you don't choose. Of course I don't have to tell you that, judging by how smart you good you guys are at this, you're smart enough to figure that out for sure. So doctorwho, feel free to post in this thread when you are ready which you want to pick for. And if you choose to pick first feel free to give me your picks for Letters Game 6!

Well, once again you have given the same word so you each earn 5 points. With only a few more games to play can Blackberry close that gap? Could they have done better with those letters? Not a whole lot. There are a few valid 6 letter words. GOONEY, which appears to be an Albatross. HOYDEN, is a saucy or boisterous girl. And NOODGE is a slangy term for nudge.
Blackberry, you may pick the numbers for the next numbers game!

Both players have correctly figured it, meaning that both players have scored 10 points. As it stands, the gap is too wide for Blackberry to catch up. doctorwho will go on to the semifinals of the Game Show Marathon. Congratulations! There will of course still be a conundrum round, for honor and glory and 10 more points.
